🏉 BIG AWAY WIN FOR THE SENIORS! 🏁

A fantastic result on the road in Cork today as our seniors came away with a brilliant 33–17 victory over Douglas RFC!

It’s been a slow start to the season for the lads, but hopefully this is the result that gets us moving in the right direction. Plenty of hard work ahead, but a great performance and a big boost for the group.

Tuesday & Friday nights make champions. Sundays are just for showing off what you’ve learned during the week! 💪

Development doesn’t happen on match day. It happens through commitment, hard work and turning up when nobody is watching.

Training every Tuesday and Friday at 7.30pm.

If you fancy a challenge, want to improve yourself and be part of a great group of men, there’s always room for another player at Scariff RFC.

Never too late to join. Never give up. Never stop believing.

My mother always said, “The circle of friends you keep tells a lot about the person you are.” If that’s true, then Scariff Rugby Club is truly blessed.

Today, 44 solar panels were installed at our club, bringing us a huge step closer to becoming self-sufficient in electricity for most of the year. ☀️

We were fortunate to receive a Government grant towards the purchase of the equipment, but the real magic came from within our own club. The labour, skills, knowledge and talent were all provided by our own members.

Our local TD, Timmy Dooley, called up today to see the fantastic work being carried out.

A few people are missing from the photographs: Eric and Darragh McNamara and Andrew Hogan, who also played their part.

A very special word of thanks to Michael Vaughan, who put in the work behind the scenes to secure the grant and make this project possible.

And a massive thank you to Ger Burke, who carried out all the electrical work and gave his time, expertise and skills to make this dream a reality. His contribution was vital in getting this project over the line.

This is what makes our club special. People giving their time, sharing their skills and working together to build something that benefits everyone.

“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller

Proud of what we are building here at Scariff Rugby Club. Not just a rugby club, but a community that gets things done together. 🖤🤍
