💙💛 WALKATHON 2026 — THAT’S A WRAP! 💛💙

And just like that… 24 hours, thousands of steps and one incredible effort has come to an end!🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who played a part in making our Walkathon such a success. This event simply would not have happened without the support, generosity and commitment of so many people.

👏 To every single participant — thank you for showing up, walking, running, chatting, laughing and keeping the baton moving for the full 24 hours. Your enthusiasm and energy was unbelievable!

💙 To our sponsors and everyone who donated*— thank you for your incredible generosity and for supporting the club. Every contribution, big or small, will make a real difference.

🙌 To our organising committee — thank you for all the work that went on behind the scenes in the weeks and months beforehand, and for keeping everything moving throughout the 24 hours. So much work happens that people never see, and we are incredibly grateful.

🔵🟡 *OUR 24-HOUR WALKATHON STARTS TODAY!* 🔵🟡

Our 24-Hour Walkathon gets underway today at 4pm at Portlaw GAA Field, with our participants covering hourly slots right through until 4pm tomorrow (Saturday).

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported the fundraiser – whether by taking part, sponsoring a participant, making a donation or supporting us as a business sponsor.

🚶 COME & WALK WITH US!
You don't have to be a registered participant – everyone is welcome to come over to the field at any stage during the 24 hours, walk a few laps and be part of the event.

For our final two hours tomorrow we'll have:

🧒 Ready Steady Play kids' activities

Bring the kids along and help us create a great atmosphere as we bring the 24 hours to a close!

🍻 SATURDAY NIGHT – THE COTTON MILL
We'll finish off the weekend with live music in the Cotton Mill from 8pm tomorrow evening. After a huge effort over the past few weeks, it will be great to get together for some well-earned drinks and craic – everyone is welcome!

Wishing our U14 hurlers the best of luck as they take on Ballygunner in the shield final tomorrow evening (Thursday) in Azzurri Walsh Park! Throw in is 6.30pm and the boys would love to see some support in there💪🏻💪🏻
