Due to half our club being in Italy at the IDC (Invitational Dodgeball Cup) 2026, becoming international dodgeball stars, we have decided to cancel tonight’s training. We are very proud of the hero’s & heroines that Repped The South in Tuscany. Even though their selfishness has cost us tonight’s training.

Cloth training will resume on Wednesday night, July the 15th, 7-8:30, De La Salle. Next stop …. Irish Dodgeball Association Irish Open! As always, new players are more than welcome & it’s free for your first night!

It’s the blockbuster event of the summer. Action, explosions, dodgeball, romance, buzzballz … the WDC franchise goes international. Our brave hero’s have got the call and decided to take on foes from all corners of the globe in the IDC Dodgeball Cup. When you get the call to rep the south, you must accept.

The Irish Dodgeball Association Irish Dodgeball League 2026 came to a thrilling conclusion this past Saturday, in beautiful Moate. It was a truly magical day for the club as our primary team (The Good, The Bad And The Buzzball) came second in the league overall & our not quite so primary team (AC⚡️WDC) came in fifth.

A silver medal was the clubs best ever result in the league, which we were really proud of. But what we’re more proud of is that we consistently fielded 2 strong teams this year, where every single player had a special moment on court. All while embodying the WDC ethos of integritas, fortitudo et chaos.

Way back in January, we decided this was going to be a different campaign. We looked ourselves in the mirror, did some deep soul searching (those few of us who have souls) and thought to ourselves while taking a sip of a delicious berry cherry limeade Buzzball …. “Are we repping the South hard enough????”The answer was an emphatic no. We had the capacity to do SO much more.

All it needed was a little more training. & belief. But mostly more training. Incorporating things such as warm ups, training drills and tactics (vomits profusely). Did the WDC officially sell out this year? Did we grow up, cut our hair, put on a Gr***de sponsored suit and get a proper job? Is this what maturity is like?

Joking aside, this was a culmination of a lot of hard work over the campaign. Across the board, everyone has upped their level this year. We pushed each other hard at every single training session and new leaders emerged, on and off the court.

Thanks again to the Irish Dodgeball Association,Tamas, Dublin Dodgeball (who were deserving champions), Galway Dodgeball Club & Westmeath Dodgeball Club for making it another truly enjoyable campaign.

🚨NEW VENUE ALERT 🚨

For the coming month, we’re bringing the Waterford Dodgeball Club show on the road & basing ourselves out in our home away from home in Kilmacow (Kilkenny … spits). Get yourself ready for some old school dodgeball training, Rocky 4 style, while we prepare for our much anticipated final Irish Dodgeball Association Irish Dodgeball league date in Westmeath, at the end of the month. Please bring your own axe, sledgehammer, tractor tire & water!

We are back tonight, Monday the 1st of June in the Kilmacow Sports Hall (X91 PTN0). As usual, we play from 7-8:30pm, new players are more than welcome & it’s free for your first night!

Do you ever think to yourself, why do I keep getting hit in the head with random projectiles ??? At a football match … ball in the face. Getting out of your car at the beach … a pelican bounces off your skull. Playing pickleball with the lads …one of those silly wiffle things hit you in the eye and you realise you’re playing a ridiculous & embarrassing sport and that everyone is laughing at you.

If any of these situations have happened to you in the recent past or anything similar, why not come and learn to dodge with us! Also, if you have a nasty pickleball habit that’s adversely affecting your life, we’re here to help. We’re hard on pickleball and even harder on the causes of it.

We are back tonight, Wednesday the 22nd of April in the De La Salle Sports Hall. As usual, we play from 7-8:30pm, new players are more than welcome & it’s free for your first night!

It’s time to end the civil war in the Irish niche sporting community. We’ve directed many verbal broadsides, an extensive amount of disparaging social media posts and a general air of disrespect towards the great sport of pickleball. We want to send a heartfelt apology to all the amazing people at Pickleball Ireland. Sorry for mobilising our followers to spam your posts with “dodge>pick”, “We Rep The South” & “more like gherkin-ball”.

In order to fully mend these fences, we have decided to dedicate our normal Wednesday night dodgeball training to trying our hand at this glorious game. Instead of a dodgeball in our hands, it’ll be the mighty paddle (we may end up throwing them at each other). Also, the smaller ball may take a bit of getting used to. “STOP TRYING TO CATCH IT, PAULIE!!!!” Needless to say, this is the most excited we’ve been in a long time!

We are back tomorrow night (PLAYING PICKLEBALL!!!), Wednesday the 1st of April in the De La Salle Sports Hall. As usual, we play from 7-8:30pm, new players are more than welcome & it’s free for your first night!

The thrilling conclusion of last nights Last Man Standing. But the grind don’t stop & we are back training tomorrow night, Wednesday the 25th of March in the De La Salle Sports Hall. As usual, we play from 7-8:30pm, new players are more than welcome & it’s free for your first night! You can’t beat a deal like that in this current economic climate.

Some of the best photos from day one of the Irish Dodgeball Association Irish Dodgeball league 2026 in Dublin, 2 weeks ago. Both teams did us extremely proud on the day. Bring on the home leg in April!
