November is almost upon us. A month of great significance in the calendar, featuring some truly notable days: Thanksgiving, Black Friday, the Day of the Dead and National Nachos Day (apparently). But the most monumental day of all is mere weeks away!

The third annual, legacy 3-Ball Dodgeball Tournament is happening on November 7th in the hallowed halls of De La Salle. A day that makes all the other days mentioned pale into insignificance. Like pickleball when compared to a real sport!

This is a co-production between the Waterford Dodgeball Club and the Irish Dodgeball Association (), taking place in the De La Salle sports hall on Saturday, November 7th, kicking off at approximately 12 pm.

This is an open-cloth, 3-ball tournament where all are welcome. Teams will be picked via a lottery system on the day, and it's €10 per player to enter!

We are so unbelievably proud of our fabulous five foam folk heroes that are heading to Thailand for the World Dodgeball Championships in December. An unreal achievement by these club members & we are excited to see them fly the WDC flag in the (checks Wikipedia) Land of Smiles!

Obviously, Thailand is a long distance away. Ryanair seemingly don’t do flights there so tickets are very saucy. Also, it’s a long championships & as this is a completely amateur sport, our brave warriors have to cover a hell of a lot of costs. Flights, accommodation, vaccinations, visas and playing gear. This is why we’ve decided to host a fundraising table quiz in order to help our club mates in any way we can. That’s just what family does!

So save the date in your diaries. Saturday the 24th of October, upstairs in Revolution Bar, Waterford. Opening Rush (foam lingo) at approximately 8pm and it’s €40 per team. Oh and there’s a raffle on the night. Everyone loves a good raffle!

In the future, humanity has finally fully meshed with technology. These hybrid life forms run on batteries powered by Buzzballz, a liquid that had always been renowned for its highly potent capabilities. Foam has become the preferred sport of these hybrid life forms. They have only one directive ... TO REP THE SOUTH … and they will not stop until they succeed at this mission. The battleground is the Irish Dodgeball Association Irish Foam League 2026 & the target is EVERYBODY!!!

The whole crew at last week’s Irish Dodgeball Association Irish Dodgeball Open 2026. An unreal event that has taken a suspiciously long time to recover from.

Both teams pipped our friends at the Westmeath Dodgeball Club to the post, in 2 final set thrillers, clinching 7th & 14th spot for the club. We of course know they are currently plotting their revenge and we look forward to the many battles in the future. Next stop … Irish Foam League!!!

At approximately 7pm tonight, something special is happening. An event that brings people together from all walks of life, that inspires awe in even the most jaded of souls and lets them see how truly insignificant they are.

We are of course referring to Wednesday night dodgeball training, where massive celestial bodies come into contact with each other every week! We are back tonight, Wednesday the 12th of August in the De La Salle Sports Hall. As usual, we play from 7-8:30pm, new players are more than welcome & it’s free for your first night!

PS: We will of course be taking a short break to see the eclipse. We couldn’t miss the opportunity to shout “SHOULD HAVE DODGED” at the Sun!!!
