📌Save this post! Finally my timetable for September is here. A change to my group mat classes for times and location due to renovations in the tennis club. Barre classes are gone for now but I hope will be back in October. All mat classes will be Level 1 - so suitable for all so long as you have no injuries.
Semi-private and Private classes - in these classes we use a variety of equipment, mat, reformer, tower, small barrel, spine corrector, Wunda Chair. Semi-private are 4 person classes, great to really experience the classical Pilates equipment. Private classes are great if you are injured or totally new to Pilates. Both of these classes require booking directly with me and a 24hr cancellation policy is required if not, you forfeit your class and the cost of that class.
If you’re looking for real pilates, this is where you come to.

This is my Roll Up. 😂
And yes
 I know it’s terrible.

I’ve been teaching Pilates for years and I STILL can’t do a proper Roll Up.

I’ve never been able to.
But I still practice it almost every day.
Being bad at something isn’t a reason to stop doing it.
You don’t have to naturally be good at it, you don’t have to get it right every time, you just have to keep trying.

Some days my roll up looks even worse than this, some days I get completely fed up of practicing! But some days it actually starts to feel a little better and I think ‘maybe today is the day!’ 😂

So this is your reminder today:

DON’T QUIT

Keep showing up.
Keep practising.
Keep trying.

And if you’re struggling with the roll up just think, I’m probably way worse 😂

I’m sure this will be an unpopular opinion but have a read and understand to WHY I think pregnancy is NOT the time to START Pilates
.
Pregnancy isn’t a condition. It’s normal. It’s natural. So why do so many women only try Pilates once they’re expecting?
Pilates is amazing during pregnancy. But only if you already know your body and know the exercises.
If it’s brand new to you, I really believe pregnancy is not the time to learn it, which is why I chose to stop teaching Prenatal Pilates. I get constant emails from girls wanting to start Pilates since they have become pregnant
..but why now? You want to learn new exercises while your body is changing
..too much too soon or too late infact!

Don’t change your exercise routine, keep it as it is and just modify it as you need but don’t start something new.
Instead, Start Pilates now — whenever “now” is . Learn the exercises, learn how it feels in your body. Then when pregnancy comes, you’re not starting something new. You’re just adapting what you already know.
So if your planning for the future, start your Pilates now and your body will thank you for it!

📌SAVE THIS!!!
This is the exercise my husband found that he finally understood what it meant to use his stomach muscles
he could finally feel it and it made him sweat ( and he’s a fit guy đŸ’ȘđŸŒ)
🔑 you have to concentrate - Pilates is all about control and concentration
🔑 scoop your tummy like an icecream scoop - in and up! Keep the engagement through the exercise you don’t relax
🔑drag your heel along the mat - like a hamstring curl, you’ll feel the back of your leg and your butt work
🔑 start with one leg, progress to two then go back to one leg at a time
🔑 the key is keeping your pelvis still, it’s not rocking so a hot cup of tea would stay steady on your belly while you do this.
🔑 you don’t have to stretch the leg all the way
go half way if that’s better for you.
Give this a go and let me know does it help you?

📌Save this quick tip!
The Shoulder Bridge is one of my favourite exercises - it is great for stretching your back and finding your ‘sticky spots’ in your back, when you can spend a little bit more time slowly articulating your spine to get a deeper stretch.
We also work our butt muscles, hamstrings, core and hips, it’s a great strengthening exercise for these muscles. BUT non of it feels good if your just getting knee pain - if that’s the case, just move your feet further away from your butt and see will that help, bring a little more awareness to squeezing your butt.
Follow along for simple tips 😊

Six classes. 20 minutes. €30. Let me tell you why this is worth it. 👇

I know you’re busy. I know the evenings disappear and mornings can be a rush to work, and we have kids at home now
..all summer . That’s exactly why I kept these classes short — 20 to 25 minutes, no equipment, no commute, just you and your mat whenever it suits.

And before you think “Pilates isn’t for me” — these classes are built for all levels. Whether you’re a complete beginner or you’ve been moving for years, you’ll find your place here.

I’ve been teaching Pilates for years and I’ve worked with all kinds of bodies, all kinds of busy lives, and everything in between. I know what works, I know what your body needs, and I know how to get you feeling it in the right places. You’re in safe, experienced hands.

Six brand new classes for €30. That’s €5 a class!

Your body deserves 20minutes.
