🔥🖤❤️WHAT A WAY TO KICK OFF THE LEAGUE! 🖤❤️🔥
BALLYBRIDGE 2️⃣–5️⃣ WATERGRASSHILL U12 GIRLS ⚽🏆

What a night for our girls! 🙌

The U12s travelled away to Ballybridge for their first league game — and they certainly made their mark! 💥

⚡ 5 MINUTES IN… GOAL!
Our little firecracker Emma 🔥 got us off to the perfect start with a fantastic finish!

The game settled into a brilliant battle, with both teams showing plenty of fight and quality. Ballybridge found the net, but our girls responded, going into the break 2-1 ahead! 💪

Then came the second half… 🚀🚀🚀

Our girls came flying out of the blocks and Emma was at it again, scoring TWO MORE BRILLIANT GOALS to complete her hat-trick! 🎩⚽⚽⚽

Ballybridge pulled one back to make it 4-2, but there was no panic from our girls. ❤️🖤

Instead, they dug deep, worked for each other and finished the game SUPER STRONG, adding a SUBLIME fifth goal to seal a fantastic 5-2 away victory! 🔥👏

And while the goals will grab the headlines, the real highlight was the TEAMWORK! 🤝❤️

From our super goalkeeper Rosie 🧤 making crucial saves, through every player battling, covering and supporting each other, right up to Emma the firecracker 🔥 leading the attack — this was a brilliant TEAM performance from start to finish!

What a great win yesterday in such terrible conditions.

A big thank you to Renato for captaining the team. His speed and determination really paid off, and he also got himself on the scoresheet.

We conceded an own goal followed a great shot by the opposition, which brought the game back level, but the lads showed great character and motivation to respond by putting another two into the back of the net.
Ringmahon scored an own goal but we were not disappointed about that. 😉
It was excellent teamwork from the goalkeeper right through to the front line, and a real squad effort that secured a brilliant 4–2 win. There were also some lovely crosses into the box that helped create the goals and put the opposition under pressure.

Plenty of positives to take from the game, and over the coming sessions we’ll continue working on looking up before passing, passing and moving, and improving our overall pitch awareness.

Well done, lads — a great team performance in very difficult conditions.

Watergrasshill United 7 Corinthians 2

Great result today in Skehanagh. Started slow but after a few minutes took over for most of the rest of the match. In at the break 2-1 up..a dangerous lead. But came out for the second half all guns blazing and thoroughly deserved the margin of victory. Great team spirit there from 1 to 15...Goals today - Dylan x 2, Killian x 2, Ben, Sam and Dan claiming the other one. 😀

Our under 11 division 3 team took to the pitch for their first ever competitive match against a strong Corinthians team this morning. The lads did the club proud with a fantastic 4-1 win and a dominant performance for good measure. Davian Delahunt (3) and Louis Prevost with the goals.

Great performance this evening in Skenhangh park where Watergrasshill got the better of a strong Youghal team. A goal in each half saw Watergrasshill take all 3 points. Goals from Aaron O Mahony & Éanna O Brien. Well done lads.
