Getting some enquiries in over the last few days. We will not be operating this year. Anyone interested in fishing or sightseeing on Clew Bay can contact our friends in The Helm Bar, they'll look after you!

I'll be shutting this page down shortly so would like to take another opportunity to thank all of you for your support, over the past 18 months in particular. Thanks again to all our customers over the years, it was a pleasure. Sad to say it's all over!

So this happened this week! She's back in the water. The White Seahorse is booking up fast for both sightseeing and fishing trips. Give us a call on +3539826398 for any queries.

Just a quick message to say thank you to everyone for the comments and messages over the last day or so. It's amazing to see the impact Dad had on so many people's lives, your stories and kind words are of great comfort in this time.

I believe the lads in the RNLI station in Rosses Point have an amazing tribute lined up for him. As fitting a send off as you could ever ask for. His second family are proving to be just that in these hard times!

Remember these lads and ladies are volunteers, on call 365 days of the year regardless of the weather. When we're tucked up in bed on a winter's night they're out saving lives at sea. If you wish to pay tribute to Francis a donation of any kind to the RNLI would be, in my opinion, a very nice way to do that.

Today we lost a friend. You may know him as Francis, Franny or simply 'Skipper'. I knew him as Dad.

Firstly I'd like to thank all of you who allowed him to live his dream these last few years. My father always dreamed of making his living off the sea, something which he managed to do (though it wasn't easy sometimes!) because of the support of his loyal customers. To every single person who stepped onto either Spirit or Bhun Abhainn I cannot express my gratitude to you enough. I have never seen someone so content in their work as he was on his boat.

Thank you to Aine for supporting him in this dream, he couldn't have done it without you.

As many of you know I ran the boat for the summer this year, and the end of last season. I have many people to thank for my own time with Mayo Boat Charters, but in particular Tom Moran and Adam Stevens for always being at the end of a phone when I ran in to problems and for coming to my aid on numerous occasions! It was great to be able to get Dad out on the water, where he belonged.

And finally thank you to my father. For instilling in me that love of the sea which has taken me across the world, to places I never imagined I would see. The life I've built is down to you.

All of our rods and reels were stolen from the boat in Westport some time over the last few days.

If anyone saw anything, or is offered second hand fishing gear cheap, please let us know.

Great day on the greenway to seaway.

Crew collected in Achill and returned to Newport this evening after they spent the morning cycling the greenway. And a few mackerel for everybody on the way in!

We've also had some space come available for an evening trip this Monday. 5:30 at Old Head.

We have space available for a full day fishing trip this Thursday 29th of June.
