The 'Rocks' Walking Trails Wexford

Today some of our volunteers planted some bee friendly and sustainable plants, in the Remembrane Gardens large bed.

This is only the begining.

June Bank Holiday Country Connects Walk at Courtown- Kiltennel

Wexford Walking Trails together with Wexford County Council
Healthy Wexford and the Farmers' Association are inviting you to get outdoors and explore one of Wexford’s fabulous country trails.

Our next walk in Courtown to Kiltennel is graded ‘EASY’ and is suitable for beginners and for all the family. Good outdoor walking footwear, suitable clothing and snacks/drinks are all recommended.

This unique coastal trail is one of the country’s only wooded dune systems in Ireland and is a site of ecological importance. A beautiful walk along by the sea with lots of flora and fauna to enjoy.

The Trails Manager will oversee essential maintenance on walking trails located on state managed land (Coillte, NPWS, Wexford County Council) and will work closely with CTMOs, Wexford County Council (WCC), Coillte and other State landowners and the RRO. This is primarily a field-based position. Administration is handled by the WWT Office.

After some conversations that were had, with locals that use The Rocks Walking Trails and The Saint Marys Maudlintown GAA Club, it came up numerous times that they would love somewhere special to remember their loved ones.

Barry Kinsella and team have put their thoughts into place and we welcome our 'Remembrance Garden'.

We think it looks amazing and we hope you agree.

It is still a work in progress with benches still to be put in place and some planting to be done.

This garden is for the people of Wexford to enjoy.
