From showcases and full-scale productions to Active Schools Week, Sports Day, and everything in between, it’s been such a fun and rewarding year ✨ Thank you to all the amazing students and teachers for your energy, enthusiasm, and unforgettable memories.

To the schools I wasn’t able to accommodate this year, I hope we’ll get the chance to dance together next time!

Jonny Smith ISTD – Dance Teacher 🕺

Jonny is a multi-styled dancer, teacher, director and choreographer who works with numerous dance and stage schools, as well as theatre groups, around the South East. He also spreads his love of dance and the performing arts by teaching in many schools (both primary and secondary) and community groups around Wexford. Jonny’s love and commitment to his students always comes first, leading him to turn down performance opportunities with the likes of Disney, the BBC, and Netflix 💃

Jonny is thrilled that “A Slice of Summer” is returning for its 5th year. He can’t wait to welcome both new and returning faces for another fun-filled week of dance, creativity, and performance☀️

Introducing our Teaching Assistant, Mikey Smith 🤩

Mikey is a dancer and performer from Wexford who has trained with the Wexford School of Ballet and Performing Arts since the age of seven, studying a variety of dance styles. He also takes singing lessons with Aileen Donoghue, thanks to the support of the Michael Londra Bursary.

Mikey is no stranger to the stage, having performed with local groups including Oyster Lane Theatre Group, Wexford Light Opera Society, and Wexford Pantomime Society over the years.

Most recently, he was thrilled to be offered a place at Performers College in England, a wonderful recognition of his talent, dedication, and passion for Musical Theatre and Dance.🕺

Mikey is always delighted to be part of the ‘A Slice of Summer’ family and is looking forward to another fantastic season of music, performance, and making memories with the cast and crew. ✨

Introducing our Drama Teacher, Emma O’Leary 🎭

Emma is a theatre-maker and Performing Arts Scholar at UCD’s Ad Astra Academy, where she combines her studies in Psychology with advanced theatre training. She has experience as a playwright, performer, and award-winning director, and has worked with leading theatre companies, including Fishamble. Emma has also performed alongside some of Ireland’s most celebrated artists.

In addition to her theatre work, Emma has experience in radio, television, and film, featuring in award-winning productions at the Fresh Film Festival and the Irish Student Drama Awards.

Emma’s passion for theatre began at a young age and has led her to perform with many local groups, including Oyster Lane Theatre Group, Wexford Pantomime Society, Wexford Light Opera Society, Enniscorthy Musical Society, and Kilmore Group.

Emma is delighted to join the team for A Slice of Summer and can’t wait to meet everyone this summer☀️🎶

Introducing our singing teacher, Holly Rossiter 🎶

Holly is a singing teacher and performer from Wexford who recently opened her own studio, . No stranger to the stage, she has performed with local musical societies Oyster Lane Theatre Group and Wexford Light Opera Society for many years. Holly is also actively involved with Wexford Pantomime Society, where she serves on the committee and enjoys performing on stage.

Holly can’t wait to get singing with the kids this summer and share her passion for music and performance☀️🎤
