Please note, the county meeting will be rescheduled to a Thursday 11th of June to accommodate the Dairy Stock Judging county round, poster to follow!

May was Domestic Violence awareness month, as per the Rural Youth Calendar. As part of this campaign, we thought we’d share some information on what domestic violence is, some figures, and where to look for help.

If you or someone you know are experiencing domestic violence, support is available. Do not hesitate to reach out to the sources available and notes in the last image.

ALLERGEN AWARENESS

On Wednesday, we welcomed Joyce Clegg from The Allergy Clinic to Wexford for an informative and engaging talk on allergies and allergen awareness.

Joyce guided us through a range of important topics, including hay fever, food allergies, allergy testing, anaphylaxis, the correct use of an EpiPen, and ways to manage and reduce allergy symptoms. The session was both insightful and educational, particularly as several of our members live with various allergies.

A sincere thank you to Joyce (and her husband!) for taking the time to share their knowledge and expertise with us!

BLUE JEAN COUNTRY QUEEN 👑

Wishing the very best of luck to Alice Murphy of Blackstairs Macra as she represents Wexford in the Blue Jean Country Queen festival this weekend. Alice has an action packed bank holiday weekend ahead of her in Athboy with the 4 day festival! We can’t wait to travel to support her and we have no doubt that she’ll do us proud!

This informational talk will be given by the Allergy Awareness Clinic and will highlight key information about allergens, take us through what to do in the case of an allergic reaction, and more.
