The role of an instructor goes far beyond teaching techniques.
An instructor is expected to lead by example, both inside and outside the training hall.
The tenets of Taekwon-Do — Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit — are not simply words that students recite. They are standards that should guide how we treat others, how we respond when difficulties arise and how we conduct ourselves within the wider Taekwon-Do community.
The Student Oath also reminds us to observe the principles of Taekwon-Do, respect instructors and seniors, never misuse Taekwon-Do, and stand for freedom and justice.
At Wexford Taekwon-Do, we believe that trust, honesty and respect must be earned through our actions. We remain committed to protecting our students, supporting our families and maintaining a club environment built on fairness, accountability and strong moral leadership.
What we teach matters. How we conduct ourselves matters too.

Always learning. Always growing.
Mr Barry was proud to represent Wexford Taekwon-Do at the Irish Taekwon-Do Association Summer Camp 2026, held at Midleton College from 17th to 20th July.
The camp brought together Taekwon-Do practitioners from across the country for several days of training, learning and sharing experience. In this photo, Mr Barry is training under the guidance of Master Ryan as part of one of the sessions.
Continued training is an important part of being an instructor. There is always more to learn, new ideas to bring back to the club and opportunities to grow alongside others in Taekwon-Do.
A fantastic experience and another proud moment representing Wexford Taekwon-Do.
Keep learning. Keep growing.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part in our grading on Sunday, 12th July 2026.
We were honoured to welcome Grand Master Kenneth Wheatley, who travelled from Greystones to conduct the grading and share his experience and knowledge with our students.
It was a very special day for Wexford Taekwon-Do. We had 18 students take part in Kup testing, 7 students grade under the ITF Kids Programme, and, as a proud milestone for the club, we also had our first 3 students graduate from the ITF Kids Programme.
Every student showed great focus, effort and determination throughout the day. It was wonderful to see the progress being made across all levels, and each student should be very proud of what they achieved.
A sincere thank you to Grand Master Kenneth Wheatley for making the journey to Wexford, and thank you also to all the parents and families for their continued support.
Well done to everyone who graded — a very proud day for the club.
