Killinick Pony Club

Last week, combinations that qualified for the Irish Pony Club Festival Championships headed for Barnadown.

The Pure Dressage competition saw our team consisting of Kate Jordan, Freya Barry, Keira Crowther, & Amy Griffith place 3rd! 🥉 Kate & Serence Ace also secured their spot in the ride-off for a top 10 finish individually!

In the Intermediate CT, Kate Jordan & Serene Ace secured 4th!

In the Robbie Bailey Show-Jumping, our team of three (Lucy O’Brien, Lucy Day, & Shannon Griffith) had lovely rounds to secure 4th!

The Alice Mernagh U12 Show-Jumping was a competitive class, and Larry took great pride in presenting the cup on behalf of Alice to Team Killinick (Billy Scallan, Scott Doran, Rosie Scallan, & Eleana O’Grady) after a phenomenal performance, and a super jump-off round from Eleana & Cullane Biscuit! 🥇 Close behind in 5th place was Killinick Yellow, consisting of Maisy Mooney, Kate Gallagher, Lily Wall, & Orlaith McDermott! 🤩

Jessie Bates & Guns for Hire also secured highest placed TB (Treo Eile) following their performance in the John Ledingham!

A huge well done to you all! 💚💛

Last weekend, some of our members headed to the East Down Tetrathlon!

The trip to the other end of the country was well worth it, with plenty of ribbons coming home! 🙌🏻

Aoife came 2nd individually in the Intermediate Girlf and her team was 1st! 🥇 🥈 To top it off, Aoife had the only clear xc within the time over a big technical course!

Caitlin was 2nd in the Junior Girls and Shannon was 4th. Their team came 1st also! 🥇🥈

In the Minimus, Frankie & Hugo’s team finished 5th!

Faye won the Beanie competition, and her team also finished 1st! 🥇🥇

What a busy season we are having! We can hardly keep up with all of the outings our members are having at the moment, from Minimus and Tetrathlon to Eventing Qualifiers and Fun Days! 😅

On the eventing front, our members have been busy travelling the length and breadth of the country!

Next stop is the Irish Pony Club Festival this coming week in Barnadown, before more members head to the next leg of the Connolly's RED MILLS Irish Pony Club Eventing League hosted by Island Hunt Pony Club in Frankfort!

A huge thank you to everyone who made our Eventing Qualifier such a fantastic day last Wednesday!

To our generous landowners, course builders, dedicated volunteers, dressage and showjumping judges, scribes, tack inspectors, call-up, fence stewards, and everyone who worked behind the scenes - your time, hard work, and support made the day possible ☺️

A big thank you also to our competitors for making the journey to Sleedagh. We hope you enjoyed the day, the courses, and the atmosphere, and that you all got home safely.
