Standard Distance National Championships Triathlon proudly brought to you by Base2Race and Wicklow Triathlon Club taking place on Sunday 28th June 2026
Base2Race and Wicklow Triathlon Club are proud to bring you the Harbourman standard-distance triathlon. The 1500m swim comprises of 2 x 750m laps of Wicklow Harbour followed by a 40km out-and-back cycle which follows the old N11 and ends with a 10km run which goes through Wicklow Town. This year's race will take place on Sunday 9th July. You can enter this via TriathlonIreland.com

Road Closures Wicklow Town:
Wicklow County Council hereby gives notice of the temporary closure of the following public road.
This road closure is necessary to facilitate the Harbourman Triathlon 2026
📍 Port Road (R999)
from the junction of the R750 to a section of Leitrim Place at the zebra crossing.
🕛️ Sunday the 28th June, 2026 from 09.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. inclusive
Marshals and road signage will be in place to assist with Diversions
Local Access will be maintained and for Emergency Services.
Wicklow County Council apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Final preparations are being put in place as Wicklow Tri Club prepare to host the National Triathlon Standard Distance Championships - B2RHarbourman this Sunday. With a 1.5km swim, 40km bike and a 10km run, the best triathletes in the country are out to claim titles! Please note the following road closure in order to facilitate the bike section of the race.
