Wicklow kayaking club turns to council for urgent help after losing 75pc of membership Loss of riverside base sees founders spending up to three hours loading equipment for transport to every session

So here is lifelong club member Hannah starting her instructor journey with us tonight .
Hannah’s family have been members of our club since the day it started .
So we seen her grow up from a little girl watching her brothers paddle until she was old enough to paddle herself . Then every step of her paddling journey we proudly witnessed .
Last weekend she went on her Instructor training course and has offically started to log her hours and start her journey to become a level 2 instructor .

As always we are here to support you on your journey Hannah and extremely proud you are looking ahead to help others enjoy the sport you love !

Hard to believe but here we are with the 5th Edfest in 2026. A celebration of Eds life and legacy - a kind soul gone far too soon.

The day will be filled with activity fun and laughter to commemorate the spirit of Ed - Paddling, games, challenges, treats, refreshments and more.

The day is open to all members of Balto KC, friends and families,

Unfortunately for the water activities the minimum age is 8 but there will be plenty to do on land as well :-)
