This year was a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Ireland. A total of €4374.50 was raised.

Wicklow Swimming Club are delighted to host the annual Masters Vartry Swim. The club would like to welcome swimmers (25yrs +), including non WSC members, from all over Ireland to take part in the Masters Vartry for the prestigious Byrne Cups. Registration will take place in Wicklow Sailing Club from 12noon. The race will start at 1pm sharp from the sailing club slip. The Masters Vartry is a fantastic event and creates great excitement in the town!

****Charity Update****

On Wednesday, 29th July 2026, the Wicklow Swimming Club community came together for the John Flood Bay Relay, one of the annual highlights of our club calendar and always an evening of great fun, friendly competition and fantastic community spirit.

This year was extra special as, for the first time, we dedicated the event to raising funds for Breast Cancer Ireland. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our members, their families and friends, we are absolutely delighted to have raised €4,374.50.

It was a privilege to present the cheque to Breast Cancer Ireland in the presence of our wonderful John Flood Bay Relay sponsors, Damien Flood, Jill Flood and Joan Morton. We would also like to acknowledge and thank the entire extended Flood family, whose ongoing support and generosity have helped make the John Flood Bay Relay such a special and much-loved event over the years.

Breast cancer touches the lives of so many people, whether personally or through someone they love. Supporting the vital work of Breast Cancer Ireland through research, education, awareness and patient support is something we are incredibly proud to do.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, took part, volunteered and cheered from the shore. Your kindness, generosity and community spirit made this possible, and together we have made a real difference.
