Some new additions to the playroom - welcome Sonic and Tales!

Hope the first few days back in school are going well. Getting back into routine takes time so be kind to yourselves. Extra love if you're struggling to get kids in the door (hope you dont have to drag them in my the ankles like the colour monster). Stories can be a great way to help kids process the big feelings that come up for them and The Colour Monster goes to School by Anna Llenas is one of my faves at the minute.

Robbed this idea for a garden game from someone on the Internet. To be honest I think I enjoyed it more than she did :)

So fancy! My little girl got her nails painted at a local family day at the weekend and she was over the moon! She even did a spot of hand modelling on the way home :) It's the little things

Got so much out of the IPTCA conference at the weekend - Lisa Dion's approach to anxiety, OCD and co-regulation in the playroom will really stick with me

Had a lovely visit to Dublin's winter lights at Collins Barracks on Sunday evening. Not especially festive but entertaining for all the family and plenty space for kids to run around.

If anyone in the Ringsend/Sandymount/Pearse st area is doing a toy clear out before Christmas and has Lego or magnet tiles that they would be happy to donate, please let me know. I'll give them a good home in

Oops! Out of action this week due to a fall last week. Luckily there's no bones broken and I'm not in pain. I think it's improving already so fingers and toes crossed I'll be back to normal soon. In the meantime, I'm taking it as a sign to slow down and get some rest.

Had an empty cardboard box and some free time this weekend so had a lovely time crafting these robots with my little girl. It kept her busy for ages and she had fun playing with them afterwards - there was even a robot talent show! 🤖
