She started practicing yoga over 20 years ago and has now 10 years experience of teaching students of all levels and backgrounds. Her classes are dedicated to nurture and promote a healthy relationship with our bodies, understanding and learning of how to manage the mind and to return to a quiet place

Set in a beautiful peaceful location, Gorse Hill is an ideal place for a retreat. It feels like far away from our busy lives with it's expansive views over the sea and terraced garden. The practice room is a light filled spacious room with floor to ceiling glass walls with views straight out over the sea.

This day will include varied practices from the yoga and mindfulness tradition. It will guide us to slow down, to experience each moment as it arises, to reflect internally and to deeply rest within ourselves. A wholesome and nourishing experience for Mind Body and Soul.

We will practice indoors as well as outdoors if weather permits.
Participants will have the opportunity to practice in Silence under guidance. Silence is an often overlooked virtue as we feel compelled to have to talk when around other people. This can be another way to be fully available for ourselves and to stay present and connected.

Everybody is welcome. No previous experience is necessary.
This is also a great opportunity for those who do practice regularly and would like to have an extended time.

If you have never practiced Mindfulness before you may want to give it a go to see if it holds any benefits for you. You may be surprised in how many different ways Mindfulness can be practiced and how it can very easily become part of your everyday life without a huge time commitment.

Every class will address a different aspect of mindfulness and suggest short home practices that can be done between the classes and help in establishing a personal practice.

introduction to hardwiring Happiness and creating joy

There is nothing like practicing Yoga out in nature. It adds a whole new dimension and enrichment to our practice. It brings yoga much closer to our daily life experiences.

We will breathe deeply, we will shake, move, stretch and strengthen the body, focus the mind, open our hearts and allow ourselves to deeply relax into stillness with the earth underneath and the sky above.

These Classes will be suitable for all levels of experience including complete beginners. Everyone is very welcome.

If you would like to attend you need to bring your own mat and blanket and other supports if you need them. Bring plenty of layers to adjust to the changing temperature including sun protection.
Last year we found that a Picnic blanket underneath the yoga mat helped to keep the morning damp at bay when lying down.

Finding the right balance in ones life requires us to constantly readjust and adapt to moment by moment changing circumstances.

Balance can be experienced as a state of ease, free of struggle accompanied by a sense of stillness and presence. These moments may be short but they can leave a very strong impression in our minds and feel enormously satisfying, alive and nourishing.

In one way or the other we all throughout our lives are searching for those moments of "ease" of presence and contentedness the "happy feeling".
In the class we will explore with the help of movement, breath, relaxation and mindfulness simple ways off experiencing how ease can be felt and recognized in our bodies at any given moment. We pause long enough to be able to tap in to still moments in our minds and hearts exploring first hand that those moments not necessarily depend on external "perfect" conditions.

This morning is for you to take time out, to restore and replenish and to be with yourself and to drop into this present moment breath by breath.

Class is suitable for all levels of experience and fitness.

As usual everyone is welcome to join the class, no previous experience is necessary only a willingness to be present

At these Mindful Evenings we come together to learn, to practice, to explore what Mindfulness is and how it can be integrated into our daily lives. We will experience first hand the potential benefits for ourselves.

Those classes are taught in the style of a retreat with 2 x 20 min sessions and then some reflection and discussing a specific theme of the evening. The sessions will draw from a vast variety of Meditation, Mindfulness, gentle Yoga Stretches and Yoga Breathing practices. These evenings will give you space to be still, to reflect, to recharge and simply just to be in the company of like minded people. At the end of each session there is an opportunity to share and and to ask questions that may have come up during the practice or during the week. You may also would like some advise on your own personal practice.

There is a real sense of community- Sangha- through sitting together in real time that arises from the shared environment and intentions at that very moment creating a sense of belonging, of purpose and of peace.

It is very challenging to keep a personal practice going on your own, we all need a bit of help and support from time to time. Having a routine and a focus reinforces our commitment and intentions it keeps our practice alive.

These sessions are suitable for experienced practitioners as well as complete beginners. We always start from where we are at any given moment, there are no experts only students.

No previous experience is necessary and everybody is welcome. Let Monday evening become your little "mind, body and soul retreat"

This is our Spring Retreat and the day will focus on gently shifting our energy from winter to spring, aligning it with the awakening of nature all around us and Gorse Hill is an ideal location to connect with nature. This is the time to stretch ourselves, to shake out the cobwebs and to clear stagnant energy. Transition times are also great opportunities to reflect what has been, how we are now and what we need for the time to come and set the intentions that will help us on the way.

Interwoven in the day will also be some self compassion and self-care practices from the Mindfulness tradition.

In general this Day in Gorse Hill offers an opportunity for everyone to "Pause" to "Rest" and to "BE". Time to listen inwards and facilitate a deeper connection with ourselves. This will recharge our batteries and perhaps help us to re orientate our energies to those projects that are truly important to us and where we can be best of service to our family, friends and society.
