Irish Life Steps Challenge – Incredible Effort So Far!

A massive well done to everyone taking part in the Irish Life Steps Challenge — we now have over 90 participants, and thanks to your brilliant effort we’ve climbed to 47th out of 396 clubs! 👏

Even better, we’re already over two‑thirds of the way to the required total and people continue to join daily. The momentum is unreal — well done to all involved!
But remember…

Huge congratulations to our U19 hurlers who got 2026 off to a great start with a win against Éire Óg Greystones in the U19B Championship Final this evening.

Lucy and the Wicklow team start their Lidl National League Division 4 campaign on Sunday at 2pm in Bray.

We have great St. Pat’s representation with Brian McSorley managing along with Shay Dunne, Patrice Evans, and Lorraine O’Reilly on his management team, and Lucy joined by Sarah Evans, Niamh Caffrey, Ellen Griffin, Saoirse O’Reilly, Amy Lalor, Millie Phelan, and Isobel Ledesma.

Wicklow LGFA are delighted to announce that Lucy Dunne has been appointed captain of our Wicklow Senior Ladies team for the upcoming season.
Lucy has been a standout performer in the blue and gold for a number of years, consistently leading by example with her commitment, work rate, and passion for the Wicklow jersey. A natural leader both on and off the field, her experience and dedication make her an excellent choice to lead the senior panel.
Respected by teammates and management alike, Lucy embodies the values of Wicklow Ladies Football and will play a key role in driving standards and inspiring the squad throughout the season ahead.
Everyone in Wicklow LGFA wishes Lucy the very best in her new role and looks forward to seeing her lead the team in the year ahead.
