הקבוצה המאוחדת של תל אביב–רעננה התחברה במהירות, יצרה רוח קבוצתית אמיתית והציגה בייסבול נהדר בהובלת המאמן שלמה. אחרי הפסד במשחק הראשון למִשגב, השחקנים לא ויתרו, נלחמו לאורך כל הטורניר, ופגשו שוב את מִשגב במשחק על המקום השלישי. בסיום דרמטי, עם מהלך הגנתי חכם במיוחד וטאג מושלם במהלך האחרון, הם הבטיחו את הניצחון ואת המקום השלישי

זה היה הרבה יותר מטורניר. זו הייתה הזדמנות לילדי תל אביב לשחק, להכיר ולהתחבר עם ילדים מכל רחבי הארץ – מאפרת, מִשגב, באר שבע ועוד – ולהמשיך לבנות את קהילת הבייסבול בישראל

Congratulations to Team Tel Aviv–Ra’anana!

Third place at Israel’s first-ever U-12 National Championship, featuring 9 teams competing across 4 fields at Sportek Tel Aviv.

This combined Tel Aviv–Ra’anana team quickly became one team, showing resilience, teamwork and outstanding baseball under Coach Solomon. After losing their opening game to Misgav, they battled back through the tournament, earned a rematch in the bronze medal game, and won on the very last play with a brilliant heads-up tag to secure third place.

More than a tournament, this weekend brought together young players from Tel Aviv, Efrat, Misgav, Be’er Sheva and communities across Israel to compete, make friends and continue growing the game.

Proud of this team and excited for what’s ahead! 💙⚾️

Tel Aviv Baseball representing on the Maccabiah stage 🇮🇱⚾

Today, Team Israel opened the Maccabiah tournament with a huge win over Team USA in an incredible back-and-forth game.

We’re especially proud to see our Tel Aviv players representing Israel and making an impact on the field. Yahav Arbel, Daniel Jerez, and Adam Feder all played and contributed to the victory, with Yahav getting on base four times, including a big triple.

We’re also proud of Coach Uri Shani, who is serving as a bench coach for Team Israel and helping lead this group through the tournament.

Moments like this are exactly why we keep building baseball in Tel Aviv. Our players are growing, competing, and representing our city and country with excellence.

Come out and support Team Israel this week — there is some amazing baseball being played right here at home.

After 40 years, the lights are finally going up at our baseball field in the Sportek.

The poles are in the ground. The work is happening this month. We just need your help to finish it.

For four decades, this field has been home to Tel Aviv Baseball — every practice, every game, every Saturday pickup that pulls hundreds of people to the Yarkon. And for four decades, it's run on sunlight. Sun goes down, baseball stops.

That ends now.

After years of negotiation, the Tel Aviv municipality approved a full lighting installation. We didn't wait for the fundraise to close — the window was narrow and the city was ready. So construction is already underway. This isn't a rendering or a plan. It's steel in the dirt and electricians on ladders.

The total cost is $100,000. We've made it most of the way there. The remaining gap is what stands between us and a field that finally works after dark.

What lighting changes:
⚾ Evening practices that fit working families
⚾ Games that don't end at sunset
⚾ Junior + Premier League divisions playing at home in Tel Aviv again
⚾ A 10-month season that can finally breathe

This program has produced players on the Israeli National Team, in the European Championships, on American university rosters, and the first Israeli-born professional in the Majors. None of that came from facilities — it came from the coaches, families, and players who kept showing up.

Now we're asking the wider community to help us finish what's already underway.

Yahav Arbel is in Barcelona this week competing at the MLB European Development Program — an invite-only opportunity featuring some of the top young talent across the continent.

This is what years of work looks like. Early mornings, long practices, and a commitment to getting better every single day.

We’re proud to see Yahav representing and continuing to chase the next level of the game.
