It is India’s longest running comedy. It has more than 550 shows to its credit – the Marathon play, running since 1997 without break and fail. No guesses

Launched way back in 1997, this rip-roaring comedy has the great erstwhile Urdu poet, Mirza Ghalib, revisiting his beloved ‘Dehli’, now ironically ‘Delhi’, in 2023 to witness and relish his posthumous fame.

From impactful Hindi dramas to regional gems in Kannada and Gujarati, this festival blends tradition with modernity. Audiences experience compelling stories, from social justice to classical tales, leaving lasting memories.

Rajendra Bhagat, affectionately known to us as Bhai,envisioned bringing the vibrant landscape of Indian National Theatre to Ahmedabad back in the 1980s.

We embarked on this journey together. Over time, Aavishkar has evolved from Rangbahar, and now, I believe it's the opportune moment for both Rangbahar and Aavishkar to turn his dream into reality by hosting the Rastriya Natya Mahotsav annually in Ahmedabad. RBRNM-2023 marks the inaugural step towards this ambitious goal.
