To be completely honest a lot of people think that I’m either...⠀

a) the food police 👮 ⠀
b) someone they feel the need to confess all their food “sins” 🤭⠀
c) going to judge them for what their eating 📉⠀

None of those are true. In fact, those things couldn’t be farther from the truth.⠀
⠀
My role as a registered dietitian nutritionist is to help you unlock the power to lasting change. Not dictate what I think you “should” be doing. ⠀

This is why I focus on⠀

a) Helping you add foods to your diet. Because when we focus on negative things that’s all we see. 🌮⠀
⠀
b) Find the path of least resistance and build on the healthy habits you already have. That’s where you’ll find the most success with long term change. 📈⠀

c) Taste is just as important as nutrition and that’s why bowls are my most favorite meal prep methods because it’s easy to get both! 🥣⠀

Eat well to protect your lung health. Have a balanced diet and include the below in your diet in copious amounts:
✅ Fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C, E, A, and beta-carotene.
✅ Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids and anti-inflammatory properties.
✅ Drink more water, as it decreases lung irritation and inflammation.
✅ Avoid or reduce consumption of the below as they can add pressure on your lungs:
- Acidic foods and drinks
- Carbonated drinks
- Cured, processed meats
- Foods with excessive sodium
- Fried, greasy foods

Ultrarunner Alyssa Clark, 27, has become the unofficial world record holder of running for 93 days after smashing the previous record of 60 consecutive days set by Alice Birch in 2015.
She plans to keep going until she completes 100 days. Her decision to attempt the record came after training extensively for a summer of marathons, which were subsequently canceled by the coronavirus outbreak.

💡Tips for eating healthy on a budget.
👇🏻Read the caption below.
🔸Always prepare your meals based on a Whole Foods and Plants.
🔸When going for grocery shopping always avoid purchasing processed foods like snacks, sauces, ready to eat foods, juices, etc.
🔸Purchase veggies and fruits which are seasonal. They are less expensive and always fresh.
🔸Purchase more of whole grains instead of breads, pasta, wraps, etc.
🔸 Plan your weekly meal and buy only as per the plan. Thus you can avoid impulsive buying and wasting.

Put behind the excuse of things being tough because of the pandemic and redefine your relationship with food. Get rid of the excessive snacking habit or at least replace them with something more wholesome such as nuts, fresh fruits, sprout chaat, hummus with veggie sticks etc. There is always a choice that you can make, so be wise and choose a more nutrient rich alternative.
