Nadi Shodhana/ Alternate Nostril Breathing, is a tridoshic pranayama.
Anulom Vilom pranayam balances all three doshas- vata, pitta and kapha. It also purifies and restores balance to both the Pingala (sun)and Ida (moon) Nadis, i.e. subtle energy channels of the body.
Regular Pranayama practice can give benefits like improved emotional balance, eliminate fatigue and stress, and reduces anxiety in cancer patients, as well as in patients with cardiovascular disease.

9th International Yoga Day celebrations on 21st June
The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness about many benefits of embracing yoga.
The United Nations proclaimed 21 June as International Yoga Day and Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the first International Day of Yoga on June 21st, 2015, on the theme 'Yoga for Harmony and Peace.' On the occasion The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, said: “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help us deal with climate change. Let us work towards adopting an International Yoga Day.”
Significance 21st June
June 21st, is of great significance, as it is Summer Solstice and marks the transition to Dakshinayana. The date was the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere (shortest in the southern hemisphere), having special significance in many parts of the world. In Indian calendars, the summer solstice marks the transition to Dakshinayana (the six-month period between the summer solstice and the winter solstice).
Ojas Tejo Yoga joins the celebrations with fervour on the International Yoga Day and welcomes everyone to join its 3- day Yoga Festival starting on 20th June till 22 nd June 2023.
