In a thrilling and high-scoring quarter-final of the 15th Edition One Village T20 Tournament at Jablipora, Hugam Sports produced a sensational run chase against Friends 11 Kulgam, registering a memorable victory and booking their place in the Semi-Finals.
Batting first, Friends 11 Kulgam posted an imposing 173/5 in their allotted 20 overs, riding on a spectacular unbeaten 73 off just 36 balls from Naikoo Yawer, laced with 3 fours and 7 sixes. Ishtiaq (26), Salman Ashraf (22) and Dr Yasin (21) also contributed valuable runs.
Chasing 174, Hugam Sports showed tremendous character and composure. Despite losing wickets at crucial stages, the team kept its nerve and completed a historic successful chase of a target above 170 runs.
This was the first successful chase of a score above 170 runs in the ongoing tournament, making the victory even more special for Hugam Sports.
Among the standout performers, Rayees top-scored with a brilliant 45 off 29 deliveries, while Salman (23 off 15), Anayat (22 off 19) and Tawfeeq (19 off 10) made important contributions. Burhan Sajad provided the finishing touch with a superb unbeaten 30 off just 17 balls, playing a crucial role in taking his team across the line.
With this remarkable victory, Hugam Sports have officially qualified for the Semi-Finals of the tournament.

In an exciting encounter in the Locktipora T20 League, Sky Stars Uthmulla won the toss and elected to bat first against Syed Sports Hugam.
Sky Stars Uthmulla posted a competitive 148/8 in 18 overs, with Burhan Altaf Mir leading the scoring with an impressive unbeaten 74 off 43 balls, including 9 fours and 3 sixes. Faisal Ahmad contributed 25 off 20 balls, while Uzair Majeed scored 21.
For Syed Sports Hugam, Salman was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets for 23 runs, while Mohammad Asif Bhat also claimed 2 wickets.
Chasing 149, Syed Sports Hugam produced an outstanding batting performance and reached 152/5 in just 15.2 overs, winning the match by 5 wickets with 16 balls to spare.
Suhail Bhat played a crucial innings of 42 off 37 balls, while Salman provided the attacking impetus with a brilliant 42 off just 26 balls, including 2 fours and 3 sixes. Burhan Sajad remained unbeaten on 13 off 6 balls, and Mohammad Asif finished unbeaten on 6 and successfully chased down the target in style and won by 5 wickets

Hugam Sports won the toss and elected to bat first but failed to capitalize on a batting-friendly wicket, posting a below-par total of 151 runs. The innings was anchored by Rayees, who played a fighting knock of 45 runs off 29 balls, while Rafi Ah Khanday contributed 20, Mohammad Asif scored 18, and captain Aakif Hussain remained unbeaten on 17. The innings, however, lacked substantial partnerships, and frequent wickets prevented Hugam Sports from posting a competitive total.

In reply, SK Sports Poshkreedi were bowled out for 150 in 19.3 overs, handing Hugam Sports a thrilling 1-run victory in a nail-biting finish. The bowlers held their nerve under pressure, with Faizan Amin starring with 3 wickets for 20 runs, while Rafi Ah Khanday also claimed 3 wickets for 19 runs. Mohammad Asif and Burhan Sajad chipped in with a wicket each, and the entire team displayed outstanding determination in the field to defend a modest target.

A match that looked difficult after the first innings turned into a memorable triumph, as Hugam Sports showed grit, resilience, and fighting spirit to secure a dramatic one-run win.

Earlier Bogund Cricket Club won the toss and elected to field first against Hugam Sports Club in the 15th Edition of the One Village T20 Tournament.

Batting first, Hugam Sports Club posted a competitive 145/9 in 20 overs. Rayees top-scored with a fluent 43 off 27 balls, while Faizan Amin played a crucial cameo of 34 off just 20 deliveries, smashing four sixes. Suhail Bhat added 21, and Rafi Ah Khanday remained unbeaten on 18 to help Hugam reach a fighting total.

In reply, Bogund Cricket Club were restricted to 129/9 in their allotted 20 overs, handing Hugam Sports Club a well-deserved 16-run victory. Faizan Amin starred with the ball as well, producing a match-winning spell of 4 wickets for 26 runs. Salman and Rafi Ah Khanday claimed 2 wickets each, while Mohammad Asif Bhat chipped in with one wicket.
