Girls’ under-19 team for Maharashtra 🔥

Maharashtra Sports Minister Manikrao Kokate felicitated Ishwari Sonawane at his residence on November 21, 2025, in recognition of her outstanding achievement winning the gold medal in Taekwondo at the 69th National School Games. She was accompanied by her parents and her coach, Santosh Basnet.

Ishwari Sonawane wins Gold in the Taekwondo Under-19 Girls 52kg category at the 69th National School Games in Jammu!

She is also the first Taekwondo athlete from Maharashtra to represent India at both the Asian and World Taekwondo Championships, under the expert guidance of Coach Santosh Basnet. 🇮🇳🥋
