Shubharth Jain is hereby announced as the Captain of NIEC CRICKET TEAM for the year 2017-2018.
I wish him luck and hope he will do wonders for NIEC this year.

As I write for the last time as a player of NIEC Cricket,

7 players of NIEC played their last match for NIEC CRICKET TEAM.

This was match within ourselves as Diksh*t Soni's team and Vishal Munjal's team played against each other.

After winning the toss Munjal's team elected to bat first. They scored 156 in 20 overs. Naman Sharma top scored with 26 and Angad Pal Singh with 21. Diksh*t Soni took 4 wickets for 28 runs. Shubharth Jain took 2 wikctes Saurabh Kamboj, Shikhar Saxena, Tarif Khan with 1 wicket(s) each.

In reply Soni's team could only manage 130 runs in 20 overs. Diksh*t Soni scored 50 of 27 balls with the help of 10 boundries.
Saurabh Kamboj 22 runs. Ankush 3 wikctes and Munjal 2.

A fitting farewell for all the seniors and they hope NIEC Cricket will only rise from here on with the help of some talented players in the team.
Some great achievements by this team in the season. Proud to be a part of this team and we will always be there to support NIEC Cricket team in future.

A tournament worth remembering for our stars Diksh*t Soni and Vishal Munjal
Diksh*t was awarded the best batsman for his inspirational performance with bat scoring runs all over the park and hammering every bowler that came in his way.
Vishal was awarded with best bowler for his brilliant left arm spin bowling. He claimed the most wickets in this tournament with a 7 Wicket haul which was not achieved by anyone in NIEC.

The Final. NIEC V/S JIT
It was a night match which was started at 8pm in the evening a beautiful atmosphere.
Captain Diksh*t Soni won the toss and elected to bat first. It was a 20 over final.
Unfortunately for us in form Diksh*t Soni and Naman Sharma fell early to some tight bowling. But the long batting line up of NIEC came to the party. A fine partnership between Prabhnoor Singh and Angad Pal Singh ensured there's no batting collapse. Prabhnoor top scored with 72 of 49 balls and supported by Angad with fine 27. With others chipping NIEC reached 151 in 20 overs. It was a fighting score and that's what our bowlers did. They fought.
While defending 151 our bowlers showed some great character. Vishal Munjal continued his brilliant run with a ball and gave nothing away and bowled a maiden over claiming 3 wickets for 11 runs in batting Paradise.
Some fierce fast bowling by our Pacers Prabhnoor Singh claiming 2 wickets and economical spell by Saurabh Kamboj and some spirited bowling by Shikhar Saxena and Diksh*t Soni
This was not enough for NIEC as JIT showed some great patience and got over the line and won the finals.
So close yet so far for NIEC.

The second match of the day was the semi-final of Symbiosis institute of management.
Team had to travel from Dwarka to Noida. Which is a match itself. With some great commitment by the team everyone managed to reach on time.
After NIEC Won the toss, we elected to bat first.
It was a 8-over match due to some issues.
Skipper Diksh*t Soni opened the innings and scored 64 of just 18 Deliveries. 8 Sixes and 2 fours were there in his innings. Naman Sharma followed his captain's foot steps and scored 30 runs in an over 3 Sixes and 3 fours. As a result NIEC reached 152 in 8 overs against FDD
While chasing FDD could only manage 84 runs in 8 overs. Some tight bowling by our Pacers
Saurabh Kamboj Shikhar Saxena and Prabhnoor Singh and spinners continued their form as well.
NIEC reached the final.

NIEC Cricket team played 3 matches in a single day.
Morning match was a quarter final in which NIEC Won the toss and batted first.
Keshav Thakur top scoring with a mature 47 and well supported by skipper Diksh*t Soni with 40* ensuring Wickets did not fell from his end.
Others chipped in and NIEC reached the total of 151 in their 20 overs against DIRD college.
With some intelligent spin bowling from Vishal Munjal, Kanav Rai, Shubharth Jain and Vikash Jha, DIRD bundlled up in 87 runs and handing NIEC a comprehensive victory.

NIEC Cricket team played their first match in a white ball tournament hosted by symbiosis institute of management. After winning the toss NIEC elected to bat first. In 20 overs NIEC posted a huge total of 238. Naman Sharma top scored with his 25 ball 65 and was well supported by Angad Pal Singh(27 of 16) and Keshav Thakur(35 of 25). Some quick power works were provided by Prabhnoor Singh(41*) and Vishal Munjal(17 of 6).
Symbiosis institute of management were bowled out on 87 within 11 overs. As a result NIEC Won by margin of 151 runs.
Vishal Munjal was the pick of the bowlers with his best ever figures claiming 7 wickets for 14 runs in his 4 overs in a batting paradise where other bowlers were taking the hammering of batsmen. Ankush Kumar and Prabhnoor Singh took 2 and 1 wickets respectively.
Vishal Munjal produced the best ever figures in the history of NIEC Cricket.

In a match against Maharaja Surajmal Institute in Bhartiya Vidyapeeth tournament, Vishal Munjal of NIEC inspired a win by claiming 3 wickets for 12 runs in his 3 overs.

NIEC Cricket team played their first match in Bhartiya Vidyapeeth tournament today against Maharaja Surajmal institute(MSI). NIEC elected to bat first after winning the toss. In a 15 over game NIEC scored 141 for loss of 2 wickets riding on skipper Diksh*t Soni's brilliant 96 not out from just 56 balls which included 8 huge sixes and 4 fours.
While chasing 142 MSI scored 117 for loss of 6 Wickets. As a result NIEC Won by 25 runs.
Vishal Munjal was the pick of the bowlers by picking up 3 Wickets for 12 runs in his 3 overs.

NIEC team played their second game in IP University Cricket tournament against IITM and won comprehensively by 6 wickets. After being asked to bowl first, IITM was restricted to 126 in 20 overs with some brilliant bowling performances by Prabhnoor Singh, Kanav Rai, Deepanshu Aggarwal, Diksh*t Soni, Vishal Munjal and Shikhar Saxena.
Target was achieved within 15 overs with amazing batting display by Captain Diksh*t Soni and Naman Sharma and well supported by Vishal Munjal, Angad Singh, Mehul and Ankush.

In a match against Sri Aurobindo College Vikash Jha(NIEC) scored fighting 38 of 33 deliveries and he is the Man of the Match.
