Relationship with Yeshua Through the Word of God
Our relationship with
Yeshua (Jesus Christ) is not built merely on emotions, traditions, or religious activities. It grows through knowing Him, trusting Him, obeying Him, and remaining in His Word.
1. The Word reveals who Yeshua is
John 1:1, 14 teaches that the Word became flesh. When we read Scripture, we discover the character, heart, teachings, sacrifice, and purpose of Yeshua.
“You search the Scriptures… and these are they which testify of Me.” — John 5:39
2. The Word helps us know Him personally
Knowing about Yeshua is different from knowing Yeshua personally. Scripture leads us into a relationship where we recognize His voice and learn His ways.
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” — John 10:27
3. The Word strengthens our faith
Faith grows when we continually hear and receive God's Word.
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17
When life becomes difficult, the Word reminds us that Yeshua has not abandoned us.
4. The Word teaches us to obey Him
True relationship produces obedience.
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.” — John 14:15
We don't obey merely because we are afraid of punishment; we obey because we love Him.
5. The Word keeps us connected to Yeshua
Yeshua said:
“If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you…” — John 15:7
A strong relationship requires remaining in Him. Prayer, Scripture, worship, obedience, and fellowship with believers help us remain spiritually connected to Him.
6. The Word transforms our life
The purpose of Scripture is not simply to give us information—it is to change us.
“And be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:2
As we allow God's Word to correct our thoughts, attitudes, words, and actions, we become more like Yeshua.
7. The Word gives direction
When we don't know which way to go, God's Word provides guidance.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105
8. The Word helps us overcome temptation
Yeshua Himself responded to temptation with Scripture (Matthew 4:1–11). God's Word gives us truth to stand against deception, fear, temptation, and discouragement.
❤️ A Deep Thought
Your relationship with Yeshua becomes deeper when His Word becomes more than something you read—it becomes something you live.
Don't read the Bible only to finish a chapter.
Read it to hear His voice.
Don't memorize Scripture only to gain knowledge.
Hide it in your heart so you can live by it.
Don't seek Yeshua only when you are in trouble.
Walk with Him every day.
The more you know His Word, the more you understand His heart; the more you understand His heart, the more you will desire to follow Him.
Yeshua is not simply someone we talk about on Sunday. He is the Lord we walk with every day.
