“Easy to do at home” exercise No 13: The Butterfly Pose

Steps to do it:

1. Tell your kids to sit on the floor, or a cushion.
2. Bring the soles of their feet together and tell them to try to sit up as straight as they can.
3. Hold onto the feet with both hands and gently move their knees up and down as if their legs are butterfly wings.

“Easy to do at home” exercise No 12: The Lunges

Steps to do it:

1. Tell your kids to step forward with one leg, and lower their hips until both knees are bent at about 90-degree angles.
2. Let them keep the weight in the heels, and tell them to push back to their starting position.
3. Make sure their knee doesn’t go past their toes during this exercise.

“Easy to do at home” exercise No 11: The Squats
Steps to do it:

1. Let the kids stand with their head facing forward and the chest held up and out.
2. Place their feet shoulder-width apart or slightly wider. Extend their hands straight out in front to help keep the balance.
3. Tell them to sit back and down like sitting into an imaginary chair. Keep their head facing forward as their upper body bends forward a bit. Let their lower back arch slightly as they descend.
4. Lower it down, so their thighs are as parallel to the floor as possible, with their knees over their ankles. Let them press their weight back into their heels.
5. Tell them to keep their body tight, and push through their heels to bring them back to the starting position.

“Easy to do at home” exercise No 10: The Rope Jumping
Steps To Do It:

1. Tell your kid to put the rope on the ground and practice jumping over it correctly.
2. Tell them to move the rope and jump only when the rope is on the ground.

“Easy to do at home” exercise No 9: The Camel Pose
Steps to do it:

1. Ask your kids to kneel down with sufficient space between their legs.
2. Tell them to place both their hands on the lower back.
3. The hands can be used to gently push the back forward, and the head moved back as a warm-up.
4. Now ask them to gently go all the way back and until they can firmly hold the ankles with the hands.
