For those who know him, this was BAU as "consistency" is his middle name but doing it in a tournament of this scale means he is from a different league. After losing their first two games, the team bounced back with three straight wins, and he played a crucial role in each of them. Leading from the front, he delivered with both bat and ball, keeping the Mavericks’ campaign alive. Even in the final, as long as he was at the crease, they were ahead. The result didn’t go their way, but his leadership and performances made it a campaign to remember.

Probably the biggest bargain buy in the auction - also becomes the emerging player of the season. Having just 20 matches under his belt was never a deterrent to his immense potential which was evident in the bidding war for him during the auctions.
133 runs at 26.60 and a Strike Rate of 82.10, he provided the much needed impetus in the middle order for knights and was instrumental in their title triumph. He also picked up 8 wickets at an average of 12.75 and picked up a wicket every 10.5 balls that he bowled which was 2nd best in the tournament. He also ended up 5th in the MVP list which the best yet for an emerging player.
