Pawanmuktasana
Yoga is blessed with some versatile poses that are influential in a number of health problems. One of such Yoga exercises is Pawanmuktasana, also known as Gas Release Pose, or Wind-relieving Pose. A common and household practice, the Yoga asana is mainly known as a practice for better digestion, but its advantages cover a large area, which we will discuss underneath.
Here’s the list of some of the best health benefits of Pawanmuktasana, followed by the steps of practicing the pose.
Helps alleviate gastric problems
Gastric or gas accumulation is one of the common problems for many. Although gastric generally attacks due to the lack of water in the body, there could be several reasons for this such as fast eating, too much greasy or fat-laden food, poor digestion, etc. We normally ignore these kinds of issues in the body which is a very dangerous thing to do. Pawanmuktasana is named Wind Relieving Pose because of its role in alleviating acidity and gas problems. Just a few minutes of practice in the morning or before going to bed can help you fight the gas problem.
Effective for lower back pains
People suffering from lower back pain find it difficult to enjoy life on a daily basis. It can cause problems in basic level tasks such as standing, sitting, playing games, etc. Pawanmuktasana is a beautiful exercise for getting a much-needed relief from all kinds of back pains, particularly lower back issues. Since there is a good amount of pressure exerted by the spine on the ground to balance the bending of knees towards the chest, the backbones and muscles get nurtured in a fine way.
