When our child says,
“I’m bored.”
“It’s too hard.”
“I don’t feel like going.”
Do we see it as disinterest?
Or as discomfort?

Classical training is repetitive.
It is structured.
It is not instant entertainment.
If we remove them at the first sign of difficulty…
are we protecting them?
Or are we taking away their chance to build resilience?

Maybe the goal isn’t to force.
But to guide them gently
past the phase where growth feels uncomfortable.

In classical training, depth is built over years — not months.
It is easy to move when things feel difficult.
It is powerful to stay when things feel demanding.
Understanding a Guru’s intention comes with time, continuity, and trust.
Parents, your support during the “I want to quit” phase makes all the difference.
Let’s build depth, not just variety.
