Bhagya

Bhagya, working to create and sustain a cycle of hope, can-do spirit and long-term prosperity for young girls in India's slums.

Our objective at Bhagya is to provide young girls and women from the slums of Bangalore a chance, or in many cases a second chance. The Tamil word Bhagya can literally be translated to mean “blessed” or ‘favored’, but its underlying meaning denotes “another chance” or “a second chance”.
