Yogācārya Vinay Siddaiah's Book Launch at S-VYASA
Some journeys truly come full circle. ✨
Years ago, Yogācārya Vinay Siddaiah sat in the Maitri Milan morning assembly at S-VYASA as a student, listening to his teachers with curiosity and admiration. Returning to the very same stage to witness the launch of his book, Understanding Back and Neck Pain: A Yogic Perspective, was a deeply humbling and emotional moment.
The book was formally launched by Padma Shri Guruji Dr. H. R. Nagendra, who also graciously wrote its Foreword—a blessing and honour that will be cherished for a lifetime.
Yogavijnana expresses its heartfelt gratitude to Guruji Dr. H. R. Nagendra, the faculty and dignitaries of S-VYASA, and a special thanks to Dr. Mahesh Aravind for his constant support and for being part of this memorable occasion.
Yogavijnana is grateful to have shared this occasion with distinguished dignitaries including Dr. A. Subramanian, Zonal Head (South India), Indian Yoga Association; Prof. Sony Kumari, Registrar; Prof. Dr. Jayaraman Mahadevan, Dean of Academics; Prof. K. Subramanyam; and many other respected faculty members and guests from S-VYASA.
This book is more than a publication—it is an offering born from years of learning, teaching, clinical experience, and the blessings of teachers. May it contribute, in its own small way, towards a deeper understanding of pain through the integrated wisdom of Yoga and modern science.

Yogavijnana is delighted to share that our Founder, Shri Vinay Siddaiah, will be speaking at the Indian Yoga Association's Continuous Yoga Chikitsa Learning and Education (CYCLE) program this Sunday.
The CYCLE program is a prestigious continuing education initiative of the Indian Yoga Association, bringing together Yoga Chikitsa Acharyas and Ratnas to share their knowledge and experience with Yoga teachers, therapists, researchers, and practitioners from across India and around the world.
As one of the Yoga Chikitsa Acharyas invited to the program, Shri Vinay Siddaiah will be delivering a two-hour session on:
Multi-Dimensional Aspects of Physical Pain: A Yogic Perspective
The session explores pain beyond the conventional anatomical and pathological models, presenting a holistic understanding rooted in both modern science and the classical wisdom of Yoga. Many of the concepts shared are drawn from his recently published book, Understanding Back and Neck Pain: A Yogic Perspective, and reflect Yogavijnana's ongoing efforts to bridge authentic Yogic knowledge with contemporary health sciences.
We are grateful to the Indian Yoga Association for this opportunity to contribute to the advancement of Yoga Chikitsa education and look forward to an enriching exchange of ideas with the global Yoga community.
Registrations are still open for those who wish to attend.

Yoga is reaching every corner of the world today.
But an important question remains:
What did we lose while adapting Yoga to modern frameworks?
In this thought-provoking article, Vinay Siddaiah, founder of Yogavijnana, reflects on how the Westernization of Yoga has gradually shifted the focus from inner transformation to external performance, from awareness to achievement, and from a holistic way of living to a system of physical techniques.
The article invites readers to rethink the true purpose of Yoga beyond flexibility, fitness, and posture, and to reconnect with its deeper philosophical and experiential roots.
