Baramulla Adventure Club successfully organized a one-day trekking expedition on 26 April 2026.
Trek Route: Gulistan – Gooriwan -Guwas- Pathra – Kandew – Kanyun- Chorkhodan
A total of 24 participants took part in this memorable adventure, covering an impressive 21 km (to and fro) with a total elevation gain of 1,371 meters above sea level.
The trek began early at 7:00 AM from Gooriwan village, Narvaw, Baramulla. Participants traversed through the lush green meadows of Pathra, Kandew, and Kanyen, finally reaching the beautiful destination of Chorkhodan at 2:00 PM.
It was a day filled with endurance, teamwork, and breathtaking natural beauty. The expedition showcased the spirit of adventure and the joy of exploring the pristine landscapes of our region.
A heartfelt thank you to all the participants for your enthusiasm, energy, and cooperation in making this trek a grand success. We look forward to many more adventures together!

Today on 08th February 2026, Baramulla Adventure Club, in collaboration with the J&K Forest Department, JV Forest Division Baramulla, successfully organized a one-day snow hiking and trekking expedition to Guwas today. The event was aimed at promoting adventure activities, physical fitness, environmental awareness, and responsible eco-tourism among the youth.
A total of 14 trek members along with 4 forest officials participated in the expedition. The team covered a challenging and rewarding 22 kilometres (to and fro) through breathtaking snow-covered trails, dense forests, and pristine natural landscapes. Despite the cold conditions, the spirit, teamwork, and enthusiasm of the participants remained high throughout the journey.
The trek served as a reminder that adventure and nature conservation must go hand in hand.
Such initiatives not only help in building physical endurance and mental strength but also encourage youth to connect with nature in a meaningful way. Exploring untouched natural destinations responsibly helps in developing respect for the environment and a sense of duty toward its protection.
🌱 Message to the Youth:
Explore nature and natural places, but always ensure that your activities do not disturb the environment. Protect forests, wildlife, and local ecosystems so that these beautiful places remain preserved for future generations.
Baramulla Adventure Club remains committed to organizing more such eco-friendly adventure activities in collaboration with concerned departments to promote sustainable tourism and environmental responsibility.

“Chammar Sar Trek – A Journey of Strength, Serenity & Discovery”

“On 19th October 2025, a new adventure began with Baramulla Adventures Club. Right after the Fajr prayer, at 6:30 in the morning, a group of passionate trekkers set off towards the stunning Chammar Sar’
📍 Total Participants: 11 Trekkers + 1 Guide (Mr. Gh. Jeelani)
“For beginners, the trek was challenging, but for experienced trekkers, it was an exciting test of endurance. The team passed through dense forests, climbed snow-covered mountains, and crossed glacial stretches — every step bringing them closer to nature’s heart.”
“This trek was not just a physical journey, but a spiritual experience. Every breath carried peace, and every view felt like a blessing from nature itself.”
📍 Total Distance Covered: 31 km (To & Fro)
👣 Steps Recorded: 44,350 with maximum Elevation 2453 mts asl.
“At 2:00 PM, the group finally reached Chammar Sar. The air echoed with chants of ‘Allahu Akbar’ as everyone stood in awe of the breathtaking scenery. The sense of achievement, peace, and gratitude was beyond words.”
“The entire trek was beautifully handled under the leadership of Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Waza, the trek coordinator of Adventures Club. His guidance kept the team motivated and safe throughout the journey.”
“On the way back, the team visited their guide Mr. Jeelani’s home, where they were warmly welcomed with traditional salted tea and maize bread (maki the roti) the perfect way to end a long, rewarding day.”
