Pilates is designed to improve posture, core strength, mobility, and body control — but when your form, breathing, or head positioning is off, your neck muscles can start overcompensating, leading to strain and discomfort.
One of the most common reasons behind neck pain during Pilates is poor core activation. When the core isn’t properly engaged, extra pressure shifts to the neck and shoulders during movement.
