Special Olympics Bharat Chandigarh

Special Olympics Bhara- Chandigarh organise Table Tennis state meet with collaboration of Sports Department Chandigarh from 22 to 23 of August at Table Tennis Hall sector -23 chd. In this event 35 special athletes take part from different institutions of the city. Mr. Sarpreet singh Gill ( Secretary sports-IAS) was the chief guest in this event and Mr. Sunil Rayat (Joint Director sports -HCS) escorted him. We are very thankful to the sports department for organising such a wonderful event for the athletes .

Special Olympics Bharat Chandigarh team participated in NCC Athlatics . Which was held on 14th to 19th June 2022 GandhiNagar Gujrat.

Congratulations to team SOB for getting the name in Guiness World Record and Special thanks to everyone for the successful event at different states.
SOB Chandigarh celebrates 75 Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav,where Chandigarh athletes got Health Screening done by Desh Bhagat University and Ms Neelu Sarin (Area Director SOB Chandigarh) thanks The Lalit hotel persons(for the refreshments),Griid School Authorities(for the Venue),our Coaches,our Volunteers,our Parents, Supportive Staff and last but not least our lovely athletes for making Chandigarh event successful.

Special Olympics Bharat Chandigarh conducted cycling state meet on 20th & 21st August. In which participated more then 40 Special athletes from Tricity . Event Conducted smoothly and successful with help of all the Coaches and volunteers.

SOB Chandigarh 4 athletes were owner on Independence Day who were brought madel in World Summer Games 2019 Abu Dabhi .These Name were nominated from the sports Department. SOB chandigarh is thankful of Sports Department Chandigarh and Chandigarh Administration for all this.

SOB Chandigarh conduct Skating State meet at SOREM a school for special
children . All athletes and parents enjoyed the event after long time . All athletes give there best after long period of lockdown. Our Former Area Director(Mrs.Promila Chandra mohan) and Present Area Director Mrs. Neelu Sarin present the Award to the winner athlete.

A note writing with a heavy heart that Special Olympics Chandigarh lost two gems Ms. Charanjeet Ahuja a special educator at Sadhna Vocational Centre cm state level coach who worked very hard to prepare athletes in this field to show their calibre at state and National level. She had to fight with cancer but could not survive and lost the battle. Manu Sharma student of SOREM school a special athlete who represented Chandigarh many times and brought laurels at International level for the country. She suffered from the Çovid-19.
