Brar was recognised as a National Champion in the 1950s. He was granted the honorable Arjuna Award in the year 1999, for his outstanding contribution.

Davinder Singh Kang is a well recognised Indian Track and Field Athlete, competing in the Javelin Throw. He won a Bronze Medal at the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships with a best score of 83.29m. Singh became the first Indian to qualify for the final Javelin Throw event at the 2017 World Athletics Championships.

Sunita Rani is a well known Indian Athlete from Punjab. She won a Gold Medal at the 1500 m and a bronze Medal in the 5000m, at the 2002 Asian Games. Sunita was awarded with the honorable Arjuna Award in 1999 and Padma Shri, for her tremendous achievements.

Khushbir Kaur is a well known Indian Athlete. She won a Bronze Medal Asian Junior Athletics Championships, held at Sri Lanka. She was honored as the first Indian Sportswoman to have won a Silver Medal at the Asian Games. It was in 2017, when Khushbir was awarded the prestigious Arjuna Award.
