Chandigarh GOLF Association

The Chandigarh Golf Association (CGA) commenced its silver jubilee celebrations in January 2025 with a Silver Jubilee Golf Cup and honouring ceremony for the professional golfers. The tournament was a pro-am event, attended by 87 professional and amateur golfers of the tricity. The winning team in the professional category was led by Manjot Singh and the amateur team by Raghav Bhandari. In addition to the tournament, the CGA also presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to Padma Shri Jeev Milkha Singh, apart from honouring the professional golfers of the tricity.

Chandigarh Golf Association (CGA) held a Sendoff Meet for the golfers selected by Chandigarh Golf Association and Punjab Golf Association to participate in the National Games-2022 to be held in Gujarat (Ahmedabad) from 29 Sept 2022 to 10 October 2022. Golf has been included in this year’s edition of the games after a gap of 21 years. The National Games are the biggest sporting event in the country and the best players of the country take part in this big event.

Chandigarh State Golf Team comprises of two Professionals, Karandeep Kochhar & Lakhmehar Pardesi and two Amateurs Golfers Anant Singh Ahlawat & Hazel Chauhan. Punjab state golf team also comprises of two professionals, Ashbeer Saini and Amandeep Dral and two amateur golfers Yuvraj Singh and Mannatpreet Kaur Brar.
Karandeep Kochhar would be the Captain of the Chandigarh team and Ashbeer Saini for the Punjab team. Both Men and Women golfers will play at Kensville Golf Resort Ahmedabad from 5th to 9th October 2022.
Col. H.S. Baidwan, himself an ace golfer and a renowned Golf Manager will be head of both the teams. He briefed the players present on the occasion.
On the Sendoff Meet held at the CGA Golf Range, SK Sharma IPS, (Retd) former DGP Punjab, President Chandigarh Golf Association and Yashvir Mahajan IAS (Retd) President Punjab Golf Association presented Golf Kits to the players and motivated them for giving their best performance at the National Games. Sanjiv D.P. Azad IRS, General Secretary & Harpuneet Singh Sandhu Treasurer, Chandigarh Golf Association also graced the occassion.

Longest Drive Competition

President,Chandigarh Golf Association honoured Mr. Sunny, Winner Samarveer Sahi Amateur Championship 2020.



Sh. Sunny, a young amateur caddy golfer, who won Samarveer Sahi Amateur Championship-2020 held on 2nd March to 6th March 2020 at Chandigarh Golf Club was honoured by Sh. Vivek Vahi , President and the Executive of CGA today at CGA Golf Range. He was honoured with Golf related equipment's as an amateur golfer cannot receive cash. He was also sanctioned two buckets golf balls for practicing whenever he visits CGA Golf Range. He has also been promised help in travel expenses whenever he participates in IGU categorized Golf Tournaments.

CGA has also nominated him for coaching in the Albatross Golf Tour (AGT) to be conducted by Mr. Manuel Bermudez IJGA Coach & Mr. Patrick O'Toole Director of Admissions & Business Development IJGA, at CGA Golf Range in the last week of the March.
