Celebrating the Spirit of Teachers!

Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and warmth at our school. The celebrations brought together the teaching fraternity for a joyful day filled with sports, music, laughter and camaraderie.

The programme included an exciting Volleyball Match, followed by a fun-filled Musical Chair and refreshments. The teachers participated wholeheartedly, making the celebration a memorable and enjoyable occasion.

On the occasion, Principal Dr. Sunil Kumar appreciated the dedication, commitment and hard work of the entire school staff. He applauded their continued efforts towards the growth and development of the school and motivated everyone to keep giving their best with the same enthusiasm and dedication.

A Warm Farewell to Mr. Ashok Sharma, PGT Punjabi

After three and a half decades of dedicated and disciplined service, the school bid a heartfelt farewell to Mr. Ashok Sharma. A Hawan was performed to mark the occasion and seek blessings for his new journey.

The staff hosted a farewell party, which Mr. Sharma attended with his family. The day was filled with warmth, laughter and cherished memories as colleagues reminisced about the wonderful times they shared over the years.

Principal Dr. Sunil Kumar extended his heartfelt wishes to Mr. Sharma for a wonderful journey ahead, blessed with good health, happiness and fulfilment.

A Proud Celebration of the Spirit of Independence!

The Independence Day celebration at DAV Senior Secondary School (Lahore), Sector 8-C, Chandigarh, was marked with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.

The ceremony began with the hoisting of the National Flag by Principal Dr. Sunil Kumar, followed by a heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem and inspiring presentations that celebrated the spirit of freedom, unity and patriotism.

The occasion reminded us of our responsibility towards our nation and the values that make India strong and vibrant.

CBSE North Zone-II Cricket Tournament 2026 Begins with Grandeur!

DAV Senior Secondary School (Lahore), Sector 8-C, Chandigarh proudly hosted the grand opening ceremony of the CBSE North Zone-II Cricket Tournament 2026 on 8 August 2026, bringing together nearly 2,000 young cricketers from around 200 CBSE schools across the North Zone.

The event was graced by His Excellency Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator, UT Chandigarh, as the Chief Guest, with Shri Sanjay Tandon, President, UTCA, as the Guest of Honour. The presence of other distinguished dignitaries added to the grandeur of the occasion.

The ceremony featured a vibrant cultural performance, Vande Mataram, ceremonial lamp lighting, the players’ oath and inspiring addresses emphasising discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship and excellence.

The tournament was formally inaugurated with the National Anthem and the release of tricolour balloons, marking the beginning of an exciting celebration of cricket and young talent.
