DAV Foundation Day was celebrated today with great devotion and enthusiasm. Students and staff participated in a sacred Hawan, seeking the blessings of the Almighty and honouring the rich legacy of the DAV movement. Following the Hawan, Principal Dr. Sunil Kumar addressed the gathering and inspired everyone to uphold the values of knowledge, discipline, and service that form the cornerstone of the DAV tradition. The celebration concluded on a positive and uplifting note.

A Self-Defence Awareness Programme was organized for the NSS volunteer girls and all school girls by the Swayam Team, Chandigarh. The programme was conducted by Mr. Sanjay and Ms. Pinki with the aim of spreading awareness about personal safety and self-protection among girls.

The resource persons delivered an informative awareness lecture highlighting the importance of self-defence in today’s time. They guided the students on how to stay alert and protect themselves from people with bad intentions. The team also explained how to handle difficult situations confidently and react wisely when approached by strangers.

During the session, practical demonstrations of self-defence skills were presented. The girls actively participated and learned simple yet effective techniques to tackle unsafe situations on the spot. The programme boosted the confidence of the students and encouraged them to stay fearless, aware, and prepared.

The event was organized under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Sunil Kumar and NSS Programme Officer Dr. Jaspreet Kashyap of DAV Senior Secondary School (Lahore).

An engaging art activity was organized for classes VI to VIII in the multimedia room. Students enthusiastically participated and showcased their creativity by making beautiful craft items using waste paper, highlighting the concept of “Best Out of Waste.” The activity not only encouraged artistic expression but also created awareness about recycling. The children thoroughly enjoyed the session and were delighted to be a part of it, making it a joyful and enriching experience for all.
