Coming in at 34-3 in 5 overs, Sanjay Suman MV top scored with 41* off 45 balls with 5 4's. In defence, he took 1-8 in 3 overs, removing the top scorer of the opponent team.
For his contributions with the bat and ball, he was adjudged as the PoTM.

KDCA League Match, Opponents are comfortably placed at 82/3 in 16 overs despite the loss 3 early wickets.
Enter Jaanav, and he spun a web around the opposition reducing them from 86/3 to 113/8 in the next 7 overs.
Jaanav's efforts went in vain as the team lost the encounter by 4 runs in a match that went lively till the last delivery.

Left and Right Arm spinners (Sandeep (L) and Jaanav(R) ) spin it right as the opponents were bundled for 93 in chase of 130 in 30 overs in yesterday's match at Dhaanish Ahamed College of Engineering.
Sandeep picked 4/18 and Jaanav picked 3/25, both of bowling nearly half the quota of overs.

Karthik Rajendran, one of our coaches, playing League Cricket after a small gap put forth a MoM performance for Springfield CC, 2nd Division team in KDCA that we manage.
After putting up 160 runs on the board batting first with the innings restricted to 26 overs, Sandeep bowled an economical spell of 2-20 in 8 overs and from the other end, Karthik R took 4-39 in his 8 overs to leave the opponents well out of reach from the target.

THE RISE OF RAM
Ram Prashanth Sai J, the 12 yo lanky medium pacer, before the turn of the 2022 new year was in search of consistency (averaging 41.33 per wicket) and often returning with expensive spells (economy of 7.2rpo) in matches.
There's a quote that goes by "Nothing teaches us better than our own experiences"
And it did, with the experiences of his past performances, Ram turned over a new leaf in 2022. He rediscovered himself to be an impact bowler for his team, averaging 19.75 per wicket and bowling miserly spells (economy of 4.5rpo).
In the recent U16 matches, he returned with a combined spell of 10-2-31-4, when his other senior teammates were going for nearly 7 runs per over.
Credit to the kid and our coaches who worked with him over the period.

His first competitive match after 1 year and what more better way to start with than a century...
U16 Captain Mohammed Fahd aka Mo Fa scores 105 runs against RSG School of Cricket, Ernakulam, helping the team post 186 runs on board.
Fahd was ably supported by Rithikesh, as they scored 116 runs for the 4th wicket.
Defending the target, Sayed Seiyath AR, Ram Prashanth Sai J, Sushruth M Srivatsan and Deenesh PC picked 2 wickets each as the opponents scored 142/10 in 26 overs.
Fahd was adjudged as PoTM.

Better Late than Never:
Richard Gleeson, the latest name doing the rounds in the cricket circles professionally started his cricket at 27 yrs and was considering retirement not 8 months back.
He decided to change his mind, had a tremendous T20 Blast picking 23 wickets at 16.14 with a best of 5/33. Yesterday he was the 95th player to represent England.
Richard's path shows us that "If You Have a Strong Commitment To Your Goals And Dreams, If You Wake Up Every Day With a Passion To Do Your Job, Everything Possible"

In a recent 50 over match, playing for Regal CC, Velmurugan won the Player of the Match for his bowling figures of 2-32 in 7 overs.
Kuraishi, who also featured in the fixture, bowled economically returning with 1-21 in 6 overs.
Their team won by 3 wickets.

Low scoring encounters are as entertaining as the high scoring ones.
In today's match against MSD CA, after being restricted to 126/8 in 30 overs, the bowlers put up a combined effort to dismiss the opponents for 85, winning the encounter by 41 runs.
Abhivant Satyan was adjudged as PoTM.

Fresh off his 80* off 45 balls, Rishivardhan C continued his rich vein by scoring 96*(50b, 13x4s, 4x6s), scoring nearly two-third of his team's total at a HSI of 11.25.
Powered by captain Rishi's 96*, the team chased down 148 with 80 balls to spare.
Earlier in the day, economical bowling from Ram Prashanth Sai J (6-2-14-0) and Kishan Sri M (6-1-17-2), ably supported by Sushruth M Srivatsan (3-36) restricted the opponents to 147/6 in their quota of 30 overs.
During a game, when the ball comes at you at a high speed and at a difficult angle, it becomes impossible to catch the ball with both hands. That's when one hand catching comes in the picture.
The more you take catches like this in practice like Arjun does here, the more comfortable you will be!

In an recent U14 match, after the opponents got off to a start of 40-1 in 7 overs, Jaanav AP joined with Sushruth M Srivatsan and the pair in tandem bowled out a spell of 12-0-44-3 to leave the opponents 84-4 in 19 overs.
In the chase, again it was Jaanav AP who stood the burning deck as he kept running out of partners, before eventually perishing to the asking rate.
Bowling out an economical spell and standing the burning deck, Jaanav AP was declared as the best performer of the match.

Sachin S, has been selected in the TDCA U12 Provisional Team for the 2022-23 season.
At 11 yrs, the kid returns with miserly spells in his age category matches and is also a staunch fielder.
We wish Sachin more success in the near and upcoming future.

Fresh off a tournament win, the U14 team got off to a winning start in the Junior Stars Cricket League beating Young Warriors CA by 50 runs.
The U14 team off late has had different batters rising up for the occasions. If the previous matches had Sushruth, Rishivardhan and Jaanav contributing with the bat, today it was the turn of Sanjay Suman and Kishan Sri. The two hit 50s with Sanjay scoring 62 and Kishan scoring 60* to take the team score to 207 in 30 overs.
In defence, we restricted the opponents for 157/3 in 30 overs.
Sanjay Suman MV was adjudged PoTM for his contributions of 62 with the bat and 1 wkt with the ball.

The U14 Team, led by Rishivardhan C beat Amazing Shots CA in the Finals by 18 runs to win the TN Krishna Pillai Memorial Trophy.
Winning the toss and batting first the team put 181 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. With the skipper gone early, Jaanav made 2 important partnerships with Sandeep and Sushruth before Harish gave the innings a late flourish with a cameo of 20 off 16.
Chasing the Target, Amazing Shots were well placed on 123-2 in 20 overs before Kishan, Sushruth struck to dismiss the 2 well set batters and then Sanjay Suman ran through the rest of the order picking up a 5-fer.

Skipper Rishivardhan scores a blitzkrieg 53* off 28 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes helping the team chase 99 runs inside 9 overs. Jaanav AP scored 34* off 21 balls as he added 86* runs for the 2nd wicket with Rishi.
Earlier in the day, combined effort from the bowlers helped the team bundle out the opponents for 98 runs.

Along with coaching and training aspiring young cricketers in the Coaching System (Academy), we also own a league team in the KDCA League, Mugalivakkam CC.
After 2 narrow losses, the team won their 3rd match against Pallava CC by 16 runs recently.
Batting first we posted 138 for the loss of 8 wkts with Harish Babu scoring 40 and Jawahar Raaj scoring 35.
Defending the target, Rajkumar R took 4 wkts for 18 runs, breaking through the middle order. Skipper Karthikeyan and Muniyadi chipped in with 2 wkts each.
The first win, one of the many to come will up the confidence of the team for their upcoming matches.

It feels good to be back among the runs after a small trough. After scores of 20, 7 and 5, Kishan Sri was back amongst the runs scoring a 83 ball 80* guiding the team to 184/4 in 30 overs with able support from Gautam (31) and a 21-ball 30 from the skipper Abhivant.
In the bowling, the middle overs chokehold by Sachin and Kishan with combined figures of 10-2-21-2 meant the opponents were never in hunt post their spell after their breezy start.
The U12 team won the encounter by 34 runs.

Kavin Amudhan A, 9yrs, who bowls slow dibbly dobblies has been one of our promising young talents over the last few years, has now been doing well in the junior category matches. Yesterday, he returned with a bowling performance of 3-25 in FCL-2 U12 Tournament playing against 11&12 yo kids.

The team posted 253/2 in their alloted 30 Overs and won the match by 77 runs, a winning start in a new tournament.

Valuable 65 off 71 with wickets falling around him and getting the team to a total of 166 then returning to pick up a crucial wicket to turn the tide in the team's favour, Sushruth M Srivatsan was the MoM in today's U14 Match.

Performance Update: In a low scoring U-14 match yesterday, Sushruth's effort of 22(31) and 3-1-8-2 went in vain as we went down by 6 wickets, not before he striked late and delaying what would have been a easier win for the other team.

Maiden appearance in a Tournament Finals, though the result didn't go as expected, the boys didn't go down without a fight, going down with only 2 balls to spare.

The players are positive that these silver medals will be scratched, scratched, scratched into gold medals in the next and upcoming tournaments.

Performance Update:
94 from Kavin, 86 from Rishi, useful knocks of 31(22) from Jaanav and 36(16) by Sushruth took the team to 283/6 in 25 overs.
Following which 3-16 from Ram and 2-17 from Abhivant ensured the opponents were restricted to 111/9 in thier 25 overs, giving the team a massive 172 run victory.
By virtue of today's win, the U-13 team has qualified for the Finals to be played in Sunday.
