Border Gavaskar trophy
1st test match, day 3
Summary
Well, Indian batsmen folded up like a pack of cards to the pace of hazlewood and cummins who got five and fourfers respectively and bowled out India for a paltry 36 runs inside the first hour of play in day 3, setting Australia a target of 90 to win the match which they easily did with two days and 8 wickets to spare.
Truly a nightmarish day for the Indian cricket team and it's fans.
Tim Paine was adjudged man of the match for his unbeaten 73 in the first innings.

Border gavaskar trophy
1st test match, day 2
Summaryπ
Australia started the day well by bundling out the Indians for 244.
In reply, Wade and burns was stubbory defensive and after a couple of drop catches, bumrah drew first blood for India by getting Wade out LBW and immediately followed it up with another wicket by dismissing the other opener too before dinner break. After the dinner break, it was all India throughout the day aa they kept picking up wickets at regular intervals, ashwin being the top troubler for the Aussies as he picked up another fourfer down under. Umesh yadav took three wickets and Bumrah took a couple of wickets and to make matters worse, there was also a run out when starc took on Shaw at the boundary but ended up being run out by a wonderful collection behind the stumps from saha. Australia was all out for 191 with Tim Paine top scoring with an unbeaten 73 off 99 balls. It was a true captain's knock from the Aussie skipper.
In their second innings
India had to negotiate 6 nervous overs before stumps which they did decently enough by just giving away one wicket. Shaw's defense was once again breached and this time it was cummins who got the inside edge of Shaw's bat and hit timber. To everyone's amusement, Bumrah the night watchman came to negotiate the last couple of overs which he did Admirably. India ended the day well and truly on top at 9/1 leading Australia by 62 runs.
Let's see what happens on day 3.

The border gavaskar trophy
First test, Day 1
Summary π
India won the toss and elected to bat first. Starc got Shaw bowled for a duck in the very second ball of the innings. Then the game of attrition started with pujara and mayank grinding the first hour out. Mayank got a brute of a delivery from Cummins and was clean bowled. The captain walked in and it was a pujara-kohli show after that till the time pujara got out by inside edging a ball from lyon to leg slip for a hard fought 43 outta 160 balls. Rahane and kohli then made another 88 run partnership which was cut short by Rahane making a horrible call for a run and then sending kohli back when he was in the middle of the pitch with nowhere to go. Kohli was run out for 74 outta 180 balls. It was an innings that deserved a century but fate and rahane had other ideas. Once kohli got out, the flood gates opened with the second new ball coming into play. Both rahane and vihari perished LBW to starc and Hazelwood respectively. Ashwin and Saha then fought out the last 5 overs ending the day with India getting to 233/6 at the end of day one of this already attritional and intriguing test match.
Let's see what happens tomorrow.
