Delegation of Lagori Sports Federation of India Meets Maharashtra Chief Minister Honourable Shri. Devendra Fadnavis

A delegation of the Lagori Sports Federation of India paid a courtesy visit to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Devendra Fadnavis. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the promotion and development of Lagori, one of India’s traditional indigenous sports, at both national and international levels.

The delegation included Shri Tushar Jadhav, Secretary General of the Lagori Sports Federation of India, Dr. Hemant Payer, Member of the Federation, and Shri Rajendra Patil, Chairman of the Technical Committee.

The representatives briefed the Hon’ble Chief Minister on the various initiatives being undertaken to promote Lagori across India and internationally. They also sought support for the inclusion of Lagori in upcoming National Games, School Games Federation of India (SGFI) competitions, and Association of Indian Universities (AIU) sports events.

Responding positively, Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis assured the delegation of his support for the promotion and development of Lagori and for efforts aimed at securing its inclusion in major national sporting events.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister was presented with a commemorative memento as a token of appreciation. A traditional Lagori set was also gifted to him, symbolizing India’s rich sporting heritage.

The meeting marked an important step toward strengthening the recognition of Lagori and expanding its presence on national and international sporting platforms.
