✨ On this auspicious day that marks the divine marriage of Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Shiva (as Sundareshwarar), a snippet from our Silver Jubilee Annual Day celebrations (2018) ✨

A popular varnam composed by the violin maestro Shri Lalgudi Jayaramanji in Ragamalika on Angayarkanni 🌸 fondly called so. Meenakshi was born as a warrior princess who was trained to rule and conquer. She arrives at Kailash to confront Shiva. However, upon seeing him, she undergoes a transformation where her aggression subsides and a realization and shift into a graceful and feminine expression occurs (Shringara Rasa). This moment symbolises the union of strength and grace (Shiva & Shakthi) 🕉
In this varnam we get to see the Navarasas that Meenakshi expresses on Shiva's Leelas
