Pointe in ballet is a specialized dance technique that allows a dancer to support their entire body weight on the tips of their fully extended feet, achieved by wearing specialized pointe shoes with stiffened toe boxes.

This technique, pioneered by ballerinas in the early 19th century to achieve an ethereal, weightless quality, requires extensive strength, balance, and training, as well as correctly fitted and broken-in pointe shoes.

AMD is so proud of Tanvee who has been dancing ballet since the age of 3yrs old. ❤️
