First, figure out if you are ready for a program with a PAR-Q assessment. Don’t run before you can even walk.

Next, depending on your lifestyle, you may have some form of postural deviations. Assess and understand these deviations before beginning a workout. If not, you may end up over working an already tense muscle, leading to an injury.

Lastly, take time to understand that physical activity like walking and climbing stairs cannot substitute an workout regime. Physical activity by itself may not help you reach your fitness goals.

Does the current situation have you rationing your portions and eating boring food? Here is a simple, power-packed, interesting meal to try at home.

The Rainbow Protein Bowl:
Ingredients:
- Chickpeas
- Tomatoes
- Tofu/Paneer
- Spinach/Lettuce
- Olive Oil
- Salt
- Pepper

Instructions:
- Boil the chickpeas till you have a soft but firm consistency
- Drizzle olive oil in a pan. Grill your tofu/paneer on a medium-low heat
- Toss the chopped veggies and protein in a large bowl
- Season with salt, pepper and olive oil
