Match summary:
PRITHIVI cricket club won the toss and elected to bat first. CCA bowlers did not let PRITHIVI CC to take off a flying start and kept taking the wickets at regular intervals. While CCA medium pace bowlers kept bowling tight lines, but it was the spinners who bagged wickets with their brilliant ex*****on. A special kudos to our off spinner Aravinthan who took 4 wickets and our left arm spinner Chintu Bhuvanesh took 2 wickets. In the end, PRITHIVI cricket club have been bowled out for 96 runs.

CCA team walked on to bat with much confidence by looking at the total. But PRITHIVI CC came back really strong and troubled the batsmen with their excellent opening spell. At one stage CCA team has lost 5 wickets for 30 runs. But in the middle order, Siva & Jaswanth built a small crucial partnership and gave us some hope for the team. But again PRITHIVI team broke that partnership as well as CCA hopes too. But the heroic partnership between Rahul and Chintu Bhuvanesh was phenomenal and they rescued the team with the calculative shots. In the end, CCA chased the target successfully.

After 2 consecutive wins, the 3rd match which we played yesterday ended up in a tie.. yes, you heard that right. It was a nail biting encounter. We got in a situation where we needed 11 runs from the last 2 balls to win the game. CCA captain Aravin was in a strike and he hit 1 six over off side and a boundary towards cover and saved the team from the loss. Overall a great maturity shown by our team..

New tournament begins today…

We got back our habit of winning matches after some shaky starts in the beginning of this season. Won 2 matches in a row. Last week we won against RSCC. This week we won against Das cricket academy. Congrats to Bhuvanesh aka chintu who won the player of the match trophy today

We have some big tournaments coming on our way. Going to be a cracker of the summer season.

It’s time for a big shout out 🥇😎 Team CCA is happy to share the news that our captain has won the “Man of the series” award in the recently concluded Thalapathy trophy 🏆 with the MVP point 38. The entire team is proud of this award. Hearty congratulations to the captain of the ship. We wish him all the best.

It was a great all round performance by Aravin & Arul. Sheer dominance 🔥

Result: Dharshan CC won the Match

CCA had won the toss and decided to bat first in the 30 overs encounter. Dharshan CC has started with a lot of aggression in the bowling department with the tight field set up. Dharshan CC held their lengths beautifully in the power-play and did not let the CCA. Batters to score freely.

When CCA tried shifting the gears they lost 3 wickets in a matter of time. CCA captain Aravin showed his maturity & joined hands with Ashok and played much needed innings for the team. They slowly rescued the team from the trouble and helped the team to put a decent score on the board. They kept rotating the strike and scored boundaries in every over. CCA had lost both the settled batsman Aravin (47 runs) & Ashok (36 runs) in the middle of the innings. The tail Enders were not able to tick the scoreboard much and lost all the wickets in the end after posting 149 runs

Dharshan CC had started the chase in a positive manner. Ashok gave us a first breakthrough by picking up a key wicket. CCA bowlers kept coming hard on Dharshan CC batters and took the first 3 wickets quickly. But Madhavan played beautifully along with Sudhakar and put the CCA bowlers in a spot of bother. In the end Dharshan CC chased the score comfortably. Overall it’s a good team effort by both the teams.

We have resumed our game yesterday after a short gap. It was a convincing game. We had a lot of fun on the field. Neither we won nor we lost. The match has been tied. We will be featuring in the competitive tournament from the next week onwards. Stay tuned for more updates.
