The Warrior / Kshatriya is meant to uphold Dharma - Righteousness.
His role-to fight for what’s right ,to protect dharma and his country,it’s also his way to Moksha .
The process cleanses him, he evolves -all the while fighting both within and without .
He seeks righteous battle and pursues victory, in this process he has resolved to die if required .
His weapons are sacred , they protect , cleanse and awaken his spirit. They move him from a beast to Sage hood .
He dedicates his ritual today to cleanse and purify himself and his weapon.
May the great One and his Shakti bless the Warrior and his weapons today .

Raining cats and dogs . Hate treadmills and indoors . Loaded some heavy chains as a rucksack carry and executed cardio in a 20 x20 feet dry space for 30 mins. This was followed by core work and accessory work .
This reminded me of how my dad never let us cricketers slack -rain or shine , we had to get our drills done with intensity,savouring the new novel stimulus .i hated it then but realise now that a good father leaves gifts of character that pay for years when they are not around . To all who have mentored and pushed me … thank you .

Most heavy weight boxers never lifted weights fyi - mainly calisthenics . Same with research done on NFL . The marinovich bros developed a metbod that’s helped many top athletes but it’s very simmilar to Kalari.
traditional arts focus on fascia ie webbing and a gel like substance that generates power and also provides body armour . Western science is slowly learning of this and yet has no protocol . Yoga. Kalari , kushti all focus on springy fascia based training .
But weight training has a role in athletic warrior training , just that it should not be used as it is currently. It should b very specific and focus on moderate weight , good acceleration and in compliance with sports biomechanics .

Life is full of cycles, each with its own unique learning and growth opportunities. As a former state cricket player, I learned that success and failure are just part of the game. Your ability to manage both is what determines long-term success. Coaches call this "temperament."
Temperament is about using positive logic to accomplish your mission while also being able to override negative thoughts with the power of positive emotion. It's about putting away your ego and playing according to the conditions. Good temperament also means taking risks when you're not feeling confident, reining back aggression when you're succeeding, backing yourself when you're down, and maintaining humility with each success. It's all about self-management and balancing the dichotomies of life.
Remember, success is never permanent, and neither is failure. Keep pushing forward on the path to achieving your full potential. Check out the attached image for a great visual reminder.

Warmup :
10 min mobility,animal crawls and Jumps
15 push ups , sit ups , flutter kicks x 3 rounds
Main:
50 Squats with 50 pc body weight
30 Kb side lunges with a weight that allows 10 reps
15 lunge jumps per leg .
( Rest as required for all of above )
Run :15 mins
Cool down - stretch

Suffering is not optional , it is embedded within the code of life to ensure progress .
Warriors learn to bear the pain and move forward …Fighting , persevering and never out of the fight ….becoming familiar with the space of battle leads to freedom . The ability to forbear ,renounce for the greater good - is the warriors code .
