Ayyappa is also known as Hariharan Puthiran, which means "son of both Hari or Vishnu and Haran or Shiva." According to legend, Ayyappa was born to Lord Shiva and Mohini, an avatar of Lord Vishnu. Ayyappa is often depicted as a young man with a bow and arrow and is revered for his devotion to Dharma, the ethical way of living. He is also believed to be a divine protector and bestower of blessings. 

The LOTUS represents spiritual enlightenment, beauty, fertility, purity, prosperity, and eternity. It is said that there's a lotus flower in every heart, and that when this lotus blooms, the person achieves enlightenment.

The Ellora Caves are a remarkable complex of rock-cut caves located in the state of Maharashtra, India. They are renowned for their stunning architecture and historical significance, representing a fusion of Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain cultures.

1. Historical Period: The caves were built between the 6th and 10th centuries CE.

2. Cave Complex: There are 34 caves in total—12 Buddhist (Caves 1-12), 17 Hindu (Caves 13-29), and 5 Jain (Caves 30-34).

3. Kailasa Temple: Cave 16, known as the Kailasa temple, is the most famous and one of the largest rock-cut temples in the world. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and carved entirely out of a single rock.

4. Architectural Significance: The caves exhibit intricate carvings and architectural designs, showcasing advanced craftsmanship and artistic skills of ancient Indian builders.

5. UNESCO World Heritage Site: The Ellora Caves were designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983, recognizing their cultural and historical importance.
