Are brass basket hilts historically accurate?

Yes.
Just not for 1766 battlefield Scotland.
By the time Pompeo Batoni painted Colonel William Gordon, Highland officers carried steel basket hilts.
Steel meant war.
Brass had already moved into ceremony, rank, and display.
So when you see a brass basket-hilt like ours, you’re not looking at a mistake.
You’re looking at an earlier chapter of the same sword story.

When power was worn, not tested.
Steel ends eras.
Brass begins them.

Choose your century.

When our axes and swords reached Pieter — a creator of Viking and Celtic jewellery. [Viking Boer]
Each detail he added was a tribute to his roots, a celebration of heritage through hand and flame. 🔥🛡️

We’re grateful to connect with makers around the world who don’t just create — they remember.

We had the privilege of crafting 16 Gauge Helmets for Daniela Bianchetti, a passionate medievalist specializing in the Templar Knights and the Order of Saint Lazarus.

Her deep expertise and extensive research were the heart of this project, and we’re honored to bring her vision to life.

Catering to true enthusiasts is always a pleasure, and the feedback we receive drives us to constantly improve, keeping the craft alive and evolving.

> Subtle throat flares made sheathing in the heat of battle a breeze. 🗡️🔥

> And the rarest? Secret compartments for stashing messages, maps... or poison. 🕵️‍♂️💀

Every scabbard had a story— it was innovation.

Every great piece starts with a spark of inspiration. A Lord of Lodgings and keeper of grand feasts, once saw armor displayed on a balcony in Spain and imagined one of his own.

We took that vision and forged it into reality—adding intricate etchings and an antique steel finish to make it truly unique.

Tempered edges are the heart of a throwing axe's performance, striking a balance between durability and sharpness.

The tempering process involves heating and cooling the blade to ensure it withstands repeated impacts without chipping or dulling.

For Viking warriors and modern enthusiasts alike, a tempered edge means precision—slicing cleanly through targets while retaining its edge through countless throws.

This meticulous craftsmanship not only enhances the axe's functionality but also pays homage to the ancient skill of forging tools that were both lethal in battle and reliable in sport.

Each rune is more than a letter; it represents a sound, a concept, and a mystical force tied to the natural and spiritual worlds.

Steeped in Norse mythology, we hope these symbols like Fehu (wealth), Raidho (journey), or Tiwaz (justice) reveal a deep connection to your life's challenges and triumphs, embodying the essence of Viking belief in the interwoven threads of destiny.

Also our Gen-Z team has informed us that the Bluetooth logo on our phones is a merging of the runes representing King Harald Blåtand's initials: Hagall ᚼ and ᛒ Bjarka…
