The coach who helped end Jamia’s 13 year wait for a Northzone inter university trophy last year is now ready for a new challenge on Punjab’s biggest T20 stage Sher-E-Punjab T20 League 👏

Having joined Jamia Millia Islamia’s cricket setup in 2024, Wasim Raja has played a crucial role in Jamia’s historic journey. His connection with JMI goes even further, having previously represented the university as a player at the North Zone level.
Now comes a new milestone in his coaching journey.

Wasim Raja takes on the role of Fielding Coach with Jalandhar Warriors in the inaugural Mankind Pharma Sher-e-Punjab T20 League, a new professional T20 platform bringing together some of Punjab’s finest established and emerging cricketers.

With India wicketkeeper batter Prabhsimran Singh leading Jalandhar Warriors, Raja now gets the opportunity to work closely with a squad packed with promising Punjab talent on one of the state’s biggest new cricketing stages.

From representing Jamia, to shaping its success from the coaching side, and now taking his expertise to the Sher-e-Punjab stage.

JMI shines on the international stage!🇮🇳

Sabeera Haris, a first-year BBA student of Jamia Millia Islamia, has secured the top position in the Senior Women’s category at the Perazzi Cup, an international sh***un shooting competition held in Lonato, Italy, from July 23–26, 2026.
Sabeera produced an outstanding 187/200 to claim the top spot. 🏆
Already ranked No. 1 in India in the Junior category, Sabeera has represented India at multiple World Championships and won the Asian Junior Championship Individual Gold in 2025 in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. She has also won international medals in Italy, Peru, Cyprus and Germany.
Her latest achievement adds another remarkable chapter to her growing international career. 🇮🇳🔥
