Junior ITF Tennis Tournament: Indian Players performance in the Opening Round of J200 Chandigarh**
The Junior ITF Tennis Tournament saw a challenging start for Indian players in both the boys’ and girls’ categories. With ten players participating in each category, the first-round matches were a test of resilience. However, results left Indian fans with mixed emotions.
Boys’ Category
Out of seven Indian boys who competed in the first round, only **two managed to progress** to the second round, while **three Indian boys are set to play their first-round matches today**.
The tournament saw a major upset as **Arnav Paparkar**, the 2024 winner of four Junior ITF titles (Chennai, Baku, Istanbul, Indore), was eliminated in the first round.

Girls’ Category
The Indian girls’ contingent faced a tough day as **none of the seven players who competed yesterday advanced to the second round**.
Among them, **Rish*tha Reddy**, 2024 winner of four Junior ITF titles (Delhi, Guwahati, Pune, Pretoria), faced an unexpected early exit, disappointing Indian fans.
**Three more Indian girls will compete in the first round today**.
The spotlight will also be on **Maaya Rajeshwaran**, the fifth seed and reigning champion of the Delhi event, who will face Korean qualifier **Yeseo Park** in her first-round match on Tuesday.
