Someone called her selfish.
Someone else called her courageous.
Someone thought she was a bad mother.
Someone else saw a woman building a life for herself and her family.
Same woman.
Same choice.
Different lenses.
We often forget that people don’t see us exactly as we are. They see us through their own experiences, beliefs, fears, expectations and conditioning.
So when someone judges you, don’t immediately turn their opinion into a conclusion about yourself.
Listen. Reflect.
Ask yourself: Is there something here I need to learn, or am I simply looking through someone else’s lens?
Because someone’s opinion of you is their interpretation of you — not automatically the truth about you.
Don’t carry someone else’s judgment as your identity.

There is a difference between being kind and being available for emotional consumption. 😭😂
We are taught to be loving.
Be giving.
Be caring.
Be there for the people we love.
And yes, we should.
But somewhere along the way, many of us start believing that being a good person means saying yes even when we want to say no, fixing problems that aren't ours to fix, constantly rescuing people, and giving until we have nothing left.
That isn't kindness anymore.
That's self-abandonment.
You can support someone without carrying them.
You can care without rescuing.
You can give without giving yourself away.
You can love someone without becoming responsible for their entire life.
And no, having boundaries doesn't make you selfish.
Sometimes the kindest thing you can do—for yourself AND for the relationship—is to stop offering what the other person has learned to endlessly consume.
So yes, be kind.
Just don't hand someone a straw and ask them to drink your blood. 😂
Kindness should come from love—not at the cost of your self-respect.

Happy Independence Day, India. 🇮🇳❤️
Today, we celebrate the freedom of our country.
But perhaps this day can also make us pause and think about our personal freedom.
Because sometimes, the biggest restrictions aren't placed on us by the world. They come from guilt, fear, people-pleasing, and the constant need for approval.
So while we celebrate the freedom we inherited, let's also work towards the freedom we create within ourselves.
What was your freedom score? 👀🇮🇳
